I would be extremely interested in how this could work. IF the price was right I would 100% go for it.

I would also use it in an AHQ style modular way :)
Please PM me if any of my old links to files are currently down. I am in the process of hosting them somewhere new!

I saw another KS for interlocking tiles and thought it was a neat idea but then I was thinking about the practicality of it. HQ reveals itself as you play and I'm (very) slowly creating the board in sliced up pieces so that you don't see the unused parts of the board and therefore have a decent idea of limits of the board which affects players decisioning. If you used interlocking tiles (this KS had walls and all sorts of things), I was wondering how easy was it to continue to join them while playing on them.

Anyway, just a thought about practicality which I have no idea if it's relevant or not in reality.

I plan to combine pieces from the twisting catacombs on some kind of platform to match the footprint of the furniture in the quest maps. For example, if I'm tired of tables over and over, I can put the dwarven forge with work bench and anvil on a 2x3 square base to use in it's place. (30mm squares to match my board).

Plastic HQ Dungeon Tiles at 30mm would work nicely as the bases.

I'm thinking of putting a couple of the blanket and pillow pieces next to a campfire and the ye olde inn sign.

The way id envisage it is that you could make up room or corridor sections all furnished and laid out as you want, then as adventurers explore each section, just add the whole room in :D

Its a cool idea to mount the pieces Sajungzak! May actually do that myself too when i get around to doing my own set at the end of the KS fulfillment :P

Thanks for the votes data on price, starting to become quite clear! ;)

I'm thinking that a cookie-cutter style thing that you stick into greenstuff/sculpey would give the biggest bang for your buck, and not take forever to do like with casting.

With these would have 100k tiles done in a week as its injection moulding :D (thank god! xD)

Did you see wargame's bakery store? We work with dave from there a bit and he has some good pads like that for tiles and bases :D

And that's exactly how I figured it would be intended to be used. Here's the other KS, I'm pretty sure I saw the link for it on here. I think that it looks pretty good (but only if you have access to a 3D printer) but as I said earlier, it wouldn't suite the style of play I'm trying to head for, mind you, you could simply pre-connect tiles and put them out just like HQ as they become visible. But I do like the idea that it's gaming gear that could enable people to recreate Eye of the Beholder maps

Now if there was an option for flush sides and magnetic bases... but I'd expect the market for that would be incredibly small.

So, 30mm dungeon spaces made of injected hard plastic that I can use plastic glue to stick multiples of into whatever room/corridor size and shape I want?

Yeah, I'd definitely be up for that, for sure. I can't stand the 1" spaces and have made my own 1.5" dungeon set out of resin...but I could swallow 30mm spaces if I had the ability to buy 100's of them to make as many rooms/corridors as I wanted...as long as we had a range of correctly sized doors and furniture to go along with it all...I reckon it would kickstart very well. There is a plastic Sci-Fi set that I have and is very nice...I think they're 40mm spaces...

IN fact, thinking more about this, I'd be all over it like a rash...bring it on!!!

Update us Thantos, what are your current thoughts on these plastic 30mm dungeon tiles?

You bet, the TC range of "regular" doors will fit in with these tiles ;)

Was planning to do a base tile set of generic tiles then some special tiles in resin for things like pit traps, mosaics, spear traps, pools of blood, piles of bones. Which would cost more than the plastic due to the production method. Unlockable stretch goals there ;)
Also wall tiles so you can make walls up in a couple of styles.

Im sure we can get multi level to work also with a bit more brain power!

Very thankful for the input so far, shows that we have to get these as close to £0.10 a tile as we can to they are accessible to most people. Is going to be tight, we may have to set a moderately high KS goal to get the volume of tiles needed to sell at that price!

I agree the HQ squares were too small especially with minis getting less mini and more dynamic poses, the AHQ ones were a little better but only because the passageways were double width which I didn't like so much tactically. I'm planning on using the AHQ tiles but use the intersections to locate the models i.e. the model is placed on the point where the lines intersect making the passageways one square wide once more - perhaps an image would have helped!
