And to update on my last comment from 2015, I have since organized an online campaign. It started on Roll20 and has recently migrated to Foundry. After I finished Conquering Despair, I started a new homebrew campaign and I've been running this one for almost 3 years so far, with a session once every two weeks, and the players are about a little more than halfway done with their big quest, and lots of little side quests along the way.

Not that I know of, but if someone wanted to put in the work, they have my permission for the translation.

Thanks for that. Well I've downloaded the quest and it's very impressive.

Fundamentally basic Heroquest is in there with the traps, treasure, monsters etc. I would love to convert these, and would try to make it as compatible to be played with the basic system box as possible e.g. converting Kobalds to Goblins. My one problem is I am unable to produce computer maps. I do mine on paper (I'm very old).

If there is someone out there in the community that would convert my paper scans into professional maps I could get these on the forum?

A lifetime ago, I used to have an open Google Doc of all of this when it was still called HQP, but I had long ago taken it down when it turned into its proper "final form" so while there might be a link somewhere in this whole pages-long thread, it's likely not active. So the only place to find it now would be grabbing a copy of the rulebook.
