VTT Tokens/Figures

Postby Evil Frog Wizard » August 16th, 2026, 6:44 am

Hey guys, been working on some figured/tokens for use in VTTs using figured painted by HispaZargon. I finally got the base monsters all done so here they are. :D

Some things to bare in mind: These are meant to be used at a much smaller scale so will likely be between 25-40% the scale shown while in play, maybe even smaller. That's why they have the thick outline, to help with the silhouette on the board. Also, they have a very soft blueish 'glow' or backlight that surrounds them, but you can't see it well on forum (which is normal since it's a light background, though you can see it on some of them if you squint). It's there to help contrast them from darker backgrounds.

Later I'll do the heroes and mmmaaybe some furniture as well. Also these will likely be put in a gallery in a bit. Anyway, enjoy.

Edit: Also, congrats to me, I am officially a goblin.

Looking good! (I hope you got HispaZargon's permission.) I bet those could make descent paper minis, as well. Think a retconned First Light. I'd expect that any VTT game using it would look great. Do you have a specific project in mind?

Yeah, I did. I sent him a pm and he gave me the go ahead. He said I was good to put it in my gallery when I get one, but that's for the future.

As for any projects. I'm considering doing a play by post game here, but still feeling things out a bit. I like these, but in many ways the straight up icons still communicate the board better. Maybe just use the heroes when I get around to doing them. Also, there's furniture that needs to be done. So, still stuff I'd need to do to get anything up and running.

The pic of the board and such is from the room I made in playingcards.io, which is a vtt site. Pretty easy to use.

As for other uses, I never thought of paper minis, but I suppose they could work for that. My mind went more to stuff like cool icons.
