Good morrow from the Captain

Postby Captain Crooks » November 1st, 2016, 7:15 pm

Greetings all, I am Captain Crooks, and I've recently been delving back into the dungeons of my youth, working on a Heroquest painting project with my friends and creating some custom scenarios using the excellent resources found on this very same forum/blog.

Once the scenarios have been playtested i'll post them here for other players to try out. In the meantime I'm looking forward to exploring this strange realm and discovering it's secrets! Here is the barbarian I painted up recently, he has always been my favourite character, though I rarely get to play as the heroes!

Is that spilt brew on the floor? The Barbs looks well ready to go.

Very nice work. Did you just glue him onto that base or pin him?
Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Welcome to the fray, and to the Inn in general!

Also, great Job on the Warrior paint and basing there. I should have known that Conan drinks Beck's, surely that's not a Heineken bottle at his feet.

It is :D it's a little greenstuff bottle I made to decorate the otherwise boring floor I made.

The feet on that model are very flat, so after I chopped him off I stuck pins in both legs to raise him up a couple of mm, then used greenstuff to remake the feet. It makes him stand a bit taller than your average HQ barbarian when you combine that with the taller base :)

I think you'll find it's Heroic (Irn) Bru! ;)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome :D

Great job on the Barbarian. I also like how you handled the Wizard's ring from the blog. I hope your scenarios are working out and we can read about them in Board index ‹ Gaming Rooms ‹ Saturday Night DUNGEON! one day.
