Great news! We can open a new thread just for collecting questions in the Inn for such future interview!

Really interested in those other unreleased packs sent to Hasbro...!

I was thinking the same thing. There should already be a Baker interview topic thread. Let's collaborate and come up with some questions I can pose.

This year's Dungeons of Hope charity event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024 in Hartford, Connecticut. Check out their website for more information.

Previously, wallydubbs has attended and got to meet Stephen Baker. Not only that, but he is now a playtester for Stephen's new game. Good stuff happens there.

I did attend Dungeons of Hope 2 years ago and I'll also be attending this year as well. However Rob has asked me to be one of the Zargons instead of one of the heroes, which is why I haven't opened a donations account this year.

I have playtested Stephen Baker's new game called Where Heroes Dare, but I wasn't allowed to take pictures. He's supposed to be attending this year's Dungeons of Hope as he currently resides in Massachusetts.

The few times I met Stephen he seemed very friendly, even gave me his E mail, but I don't have permission to give it out to everyone. Though I've requested an interview with him, he requested the questions via email. After an email confirming it was him I sent him the questions but he never replied. A month later I sent him a reminder to which he still never replied. When I see him again at Dungeons of Hope I'll press further but I doubt I'll get any answers.

If Rob prefers you as a Zargon player, that's for the best. Hopefully, another member of the Inn can attend as a player this year in your stead.

Dear all,

I am glad to inform you about charity event Dungeon Fest!, which is going to be celebrated near Madrid, Spain, during weekend 23/24th of November.

DungeonFest_2024.jpg

The purpose of this event is trying to gather funds for Fundación Cadete, a foundation which helps young people and kids with disabilities.

Main -but not the only ones- organizers and sponsors of the event are, of course Fundación Cadete, school Colegio Greenfield, games shop Ludoteca Maldita, HeroQuest themed YoutTube channels La Guarida de Morcar, El Absurdeta and Zombiviendo, several board games editors like Mixin Games, and I can also confirm you that there are also some Ye Olde Inn members who are also giving support to the event.

The event is going to be celebrated in Colegio Greenfield (address: Ctra. de Carabanchel a Villaverde, 82, 28021 Madrid - España), Saturday opened from 10:00 to 20:00, and Sunday from 10:00 to 15:00.

More details about the organization, agenda and activities of the event can be checked on this video. As far as I know, will be activities like playing games (of course), all kinds of kids -and adults- entertaiment, lotteries... and probably many surprises for the audience.

Entrance tickets minimum fair is 1€, and as far as I know, the maximum capability is around 700 people, which hopefully will be filled. Of course Madrid is unfortunatelly far from many of you, but if you would like to collaborate, there are other indirect ways to help: Exists a 'Zero Row' where you can buy as many tickets as you want in this link, which costs 1€ each, by selecting the "FILA 0" option. Additionally any other donation can be also performed via the official donation link of Fundación Cadete here (PayPal, and credit cards are welcome). It is time to demonstrate that the forces of Mentor are as mighty as they are onto the board!

Tomorrow morning (EU Central Time) is scheduled a Live video by La Guarida de Morcar here, where more details will be given.

Thank you so much to anyone who would like to collaborate and of course also thanks to all the organizers.

Love that advertiser. Wow, back-to-back fundraisers for Heroquest fans--who would have guessed? I tried a small donation, but apparently the row 0 option is for residents of Spain. No matter--I'm sure the event will be a big success as indicated by the support that has been lined up.

The Dungeons of Hope event happens this Saturday, so once again, if anyone is interested in attending wallydubbs and Stephen Baker will also be there. It would be nice to have someone to sponsor again. A Stephen Baker-autographed prize could then be made available in a raffle for donating members and the Inn Hero. Hero icons will be again be awarded this year, as well (if we pull this off).

So the charity event seemed to be somewhat successful, raising $6,004. I played Zargon for 2 different groups, it went well and it was fun. Here's a few pictures from the event:
