We should put a pile of 25 skulls. Or a 25-headed hydra, where each head has exactly 25 teeth.

In case we get new heroes and monsters, why don't we ask for Ampersand to do those. We already have a dwarf, and elf is coming :) Wouldn't it be awesome if our 25th anniversary edition would have a communty members sculpted heroes and monsters?!? In this case we would get everything we need from our own community!

Sounds great.

Also just thought I'd add that I think the 25 looks better than the XXV |_P

My thoughts exactly. Who in here sculpts by the way? Anyone except &?
Not that I wouldn't want him to do it - but maybe he won't or someone would be better - just exploring options here ;)
Anyways we need to figure out what to do with monsters in the first place...

My vote goes to regular "25" too. I think it conveys the purpose the best.

I think my biggest thing from my perspective is that the only cost involved for someone wanting to benefit from the project is having to hit the download button. Anything like miniatures, a box, etc, are getting into dangerous ground in my mind.

Logo
I'll add another vote for the '25' logo.
XXV may work in a different HQ font like Romic or ITCClearface but Gaze is the Heroquest font and XXV just doesn't look right in it.

Monsters
The idea of adding new monsters with their own sculpts exclusive to this project is very exciting, however as no one who sculpts has actually shown an interest in doing this yet it may be a dead end idea.

Skaven seems to be a popular idea. It makes sense as the minis are readily available and some of us already have them. but I agree with GK when he said this.

So what about Chaos Dwarves?

  • It could take the place of the missing 'Dwarf Quest Pack'
  • It fills the missing Chaos Quest Pack as discussed earlier on
  • It opens up a few interesting/cliche storylines
  • HQ compatible Chaos Dwarves are already available (although not as common as Skaven) if no one volunteers to sculpt (and cast) models for this projext

Well, I asked ampersand, and he said he's just too busy to do the monsters. :( So yeah, any other sculptors here?

Nothings on a dangerous mind if we don't (and we won't) sell this game. Right?

I think dangerous ground referred to the possibility of people don't playing the pack because it suddenly turns big and expensive.
In my opinion we should stick to the downloads in regard to all paper components.

However I do like the idea of chaos dwarfs a lot!
They can tie in nicely with both chaos and Orcs'n'Goblins
They are even semi-officially a part of the HQ universe via Legacy of Sorasil!
And they have somewhat easily obtainable minis.

I could go for these regardless if we get special minis made or not.
Who knows? Maybe I should give it a shot at sculpting?
Then we can all have a good laugh at my abomination

yeah sorry guys too much on my plate at the moment to be able to take anything else on.
i would keep it to Downloadable stuff to keep it real. when money comes in is when things get serious. you're better off keeping it a fun project :)
