Holy crap, that's amazing! Yes!

I could totally set up a website like that!!! For free!! All I'd need are some finished quests, cards, tiles, monsters like those on that Frensh site. Sweet!

The design of that website is brilliant! Someone please translate the expansion into English! :D Looks professional and definitely an inspiration to what could be done with HeroQuest 25

@ Balinor - I loved reading your ideas, at a couple of points it was like you were reading my mind. Really like the Chaos Gods idea and am happy to see Sjeng incorporate it into the draft storyline.

@ Sjeng - With the multiple storyline idea, I understand that the heroes will need to follow at least one path, but how would you make it possible for the heroes to take multiple paths. Simply ask them after each pathway is complete? or is it only after the third pathway is finished that they can progress? Either way I really like the idea of multiple pathways, makes for more replay value.......Thinking about it perhaps at the junction where the heroes could choose which pathway to take, they could throw a dice and let the dice decide???

Either way am very glad to see to this project going from strength to strength :D

Well, basically, you could decide beforehand how much quests you want to play. 25 is a long time to play. Then you could simply reveal a plot after 1 story arc, and move on to the next main quest, or decide they need to do more arcs, and only tell the heroes they can proceed after all three. It's up to Morcar really, or simply a matter of how much time your group has.
I'd simply write something like this in the questbook:

"Morcar may choose to have the heroes play through all three following story arcs, or choose one (whichever you prefer, or just roll a die), if time does not allow the heroes to play all three arcs"

Just a way to shorten the entire questbook. I'd play all three to be honest ;)

 me too!

Thanks for clearing that up, It did make me wonder. Perhaps there could be a certain objective to be acheived, which could be completed in quest 1,2 or 3 and as soon as it has been acheived then you go onto the section arc of quest? There more I think about multiple ways of progressing through the storyline, the more enjoyable it is for thinking up ideas :D I will get my thinking cap on.

The way I envision it is that the players discover enough clues during their first adventure to set the stage for level 1 of each following quest pack. If the early levels of each quest pack are roughly the same level of difficulty they could perhaps bounce between each discovering clues to further lead them deeper into each. Eventually they will reach the bottom of each and get the clues needed to find the final quest pack.

Another option is for just one clue to lead them to a quest pack, then that lead to another etc.

The difficulty of the levels in each quest pack will determine which is the best adventure path to take, and the story should be tailored to fit that path.

So, am I wrong, or was that french thing an actual official published set by MB and games workshop?
It has the logos all over it...in the pictures included.

That is SUH-WEET though...awesome. If we could put together something like that, we'd be immortals
in the HQ fan universe.
(I have to be a part of this - I better get to work...hahaha).

On a side note - something I thought of this morning. I think if we really want to set ourselves apart and
come up with something to make HQ better with this whole project, we need to do one thing:
MAKE MIND POINTS MORE RELEVANT.
Whether that means coming up with some new mechanic or rule, or simply making better spells or monsters
that require the use, I don't know.
I really dislike the idea of spells dropping mind points, though, without offering a way to regain those points
without using magic or potions to heal the lost points.

I don't have any good ideas myself, aside of creating "skill" and activities that force players to roll combat dice
equal to mind points and rolling for white shields...but this gets cumbersome and requires a lot of new rules.
