This is an awesome job, lestodante. Just amazing. I‘ve sent you a PM.

If only the developers of the remake had asked some of the forum members to do the job and help developing the game

Yeah I agree and that's not arrogance on our part, we've literally spent many years studying and adapting the game, making stuff for it, that's got to count for something. At least if they had had a panel of consultants who came from our ranks, that could have helped a lot. Granted, we can be an opinionated bunch, so if they happened to pick somebody who said absolutely crossbows can hit the four diagonal squares but not the person who disagreed, that would have skewed their analysis. After all, Stephen Baker I think was the only person from the old project, and he was all about the EU edition, not necessarily the rule changes when the game crossed the pond as it were and formed the basis for the remake. So I mean if they knew something and didn't need the feedback, fine, but finding out what the fans liked and didn't, seeing what we'd made, what was popular, etc.

I do appreciate the overall care they treated the game with (in this case, sadly not always the case in remade or revived nostalgic franchises), but yes, seeing what the fans can produce and wondering why we can't expect that same level of quality from an official product can be baffling.
