Dark World featured something like that. It had pinholes in the hands of the Hero figures, where you could insert weapons. It was a slightly different method with respect to what was done in Space Crusade, which also featured exchangable weapons.

Yeah it was very definitely NOT Dragonstrike.

Dragonstrike had faux-D20 mechanic going for it, along with a larger spell library for the magic users, and a bigger variety of player characters.

But in terms of the miniature sculpts... they were pretty bottom-of-the-barrel for their time (odd and inconsistent sizing/scaling and very poor detail on all but the Dragon and the Man-Scorpion)

Since acquiring a few Dragonstrike minis, I agree, I was wrong, it was Dark World that had the insert-able weapons. Technically HeroQuest had exchangeable weapons too, but only for the Ogres and Mercenaries. ;)
