From what I'm seeing in the picture it might suffice if you just put a tiny amount of orange or an even tinier amount of yellow in that P3 color you have.
Compared to the HQ Barbarian's color, there's just a teensy amount of blue too much in there.

It's not spray paint, but a very close "hero red" is Sanguine Highlight Formula P3, which I used on this Reaper dancer figure to make a custom female monk.


Has there been an accumulative list posted of best color matches to the official HQ colors?

Ah, yes. I have a few bright red heroes--they're too loud for my tastes! The red in the photo I posted is my favorite "hero red."

This was matched with the help of a modeling expert at a local games shop. I think I'll just bring in a figure next time and repeat the matching process on an as-needed basis. I'll report my findings.

From left to right: EU first edition, EU second edition (or maybe even Master Edition), NA first edition.
There were definitely more shades and levels of opaqueness and such out there.

huh. I'm the US, and have purchased only NA editions, yet I have a few bright red EU first edition heroes. Must have been some stowaways from my "finish the incomplete thrift store system set" pick-and-choose ebay days.
