I'm also against a mandatory theme, but I think we have already agreed on that we don't set one.
I think we've established that you can use a theme, but don't have to.
Of course, the theme talk is obsolete in that case.

I want to paint a beautiful figure to the best of my abilities OR try something completely new, playing with what I know about color theory and things like that.
I don't want to be limited by a theme.

I also don't wanna be limited by not having tasoe in. So, no theme, please.
Another reason: several newbies who we shouldn't put in a creative straightjacket.

Thanks for the support KK! I really didn't mean it as an ultimatum, it's just that I won't be able to follow a theme, it'll feel like a job, and I don't need any more of those.

I didn't actually read every bit on the thread, just the part where a theme was mentioned and it put me off.
