Scale is way off, so not "compatible". No new rule required here.

Seriously though, Anderas has put forward the "if you are proud to put it on your HQ table at home then it is perfect for you to give in the exchange" attitude which is great. If you think a Silver Tower mini is something you want to give, then good for you! I send mine out with zero expectations of receiving anything in the mail. And I'd love to receive whatever someone in the community thinks is a cool mini for HQ.

If you painted and shipped that Silver Tower / AoS mini to me, I'd be speechless. It would instantly be my son's favorite mini and (if you painted it) the best painted anything in my whole house house!

That goes for me, too.

I'm against any rules so strict that they limit the creativity of anyone or what anyone would want to do at that particular time,
especially beginners or anyone taking a leap of faith or anyone just wanting to try something specific.
For me personally, it doesn't even have to be HQ-related, though I get why most will and will comply with it with my own project if it's agreed on.

While I'll admit to preferring it to be HQ-related...

The fun part is not to get a professionally painted miniature, but getting a gift from one of the people you spend a lot of time talking HQ and other stuff with.

As long as the rules are clear so everyone knows what to expect and what is expected.
Also no reason why we can't shake things up a bit. The theme is a nice touch.
Next year it could be sci-fi ONLY!
