I say take the lead man, and officially declare 2016 "The Nightmare Before Christmas" theme, and establish the undead and their ilk as the Mini de l’année...? Has there been a themed year yet?

And "Nightmare before Christmas" isn't bad at all. This doesn't have to be an undead thing though. Let people interpret as they please.

And I was too curious, so here we go. Everything that's not an official HQ model went into non-HQ even if it was a HQ race.
Seems I wasn't all wrong with orcs and chaos being top choices. We had a single mummy, but nope... no zombies!

Your count can't be right because i delivered a small Goblin Gang with three archers last year.

- It needs to be a model (or models) that is (or are) compatible with Heroquest
- You have to paint it
- You need to be ready to part from it.

I'm in. Not that I'm actively planning a non-original HQ mini, but I do not currently know what I will be inspired to produce when the time comes. And if I'm not inspired it won't be fun. Thank you, Anderas!

It does not have to BE an original HQ mini, just HQ compatible.

Yes exactly. You have the freedom to do what you want. After all, the quest notes depict a lot of miniature's that are not actually available in the game.

So if it fits with the rest, just do it.
