The post office said it was 2.3kg so yeah it is big and bulky If you want a copy for a friend then I can find out exactly how much it'll be (maybe removing the video will get it down to just under 2kg)

I doubt it, close but not enough. I googled it... A VHS tape in card sleeve is 7.4oz Converted to grams 209.7.

I trust you, but frankly, that's pretty unbelievable.
I got many parcels from Britain, Ebay and the like, and never payed shipping costs like that.
Did the post office guy give any explanatiion?

eBay subsidises postage a bit which helps. Even at that I always pay more to ship on eBay than what I collect for posting. Just seems to be the way of it.

That said, 30£ seems reasonable (well,no, but accurate). They have a package estimator online. I used it last month when I bought a peer-peer package from the UK. He charged 40£ shipping. Thought I was getting ripped off. So I used their inline calculator and got the exact same price.

I've got a set of spares. Original box, cards, booklets, player cards, vhs tape. Basically everything but the minis. If anyone wants/needs replacement pieces or just wants extra.
