I agree with Tasoe here. These are originals, slightly yellowing and of the worse cast quality NA version, I think.
See that little flash running from the right foot? That's original. A recaster probably would have filed that down, and if not, the recast wouldn't have it anyway if the quality was so much worse. Or it would be softer.

Both in Europe and in NA versions, there were differences in color (more Ivory or more Buff, as far as Undead are concerned) and in quality.
I think I've even felt differences in material in my German undead (softer and harder, which was always analogous to quality of cast).
This goes for all figures, most famously for the heroes. The lighter red ones from first editions are clearly worse quality than the darker ones from later.

That's why photo resolution plays a part when I'm buying. Just can't tell for sure. The first pic has me worried. The close ups could be better too. Why don't you ask? Maybe he can retake some.

I'm not sure what US postage is like locally. I manged to picked one up earlier this month (got lucky with no one sniping at the last minute) from Brazil and postage was cheap which made the price more palatable.

Just got lucky and picked up almost 2 complete sets in one box (missing board, one combat die, one goblin and two other pieces are broken. Luckily I have another board already but I just wanted someone to share in my fortune. Sometimes eBay rocks.

That's a great collection of the expansion, but $1,000 - that nut is crazy.
The most kellar's keep sells for on ebay is around $90 or so.
RotWL is less than that, on average.
I'm not going to waste time looking up the other two - I doubt they would equal
the remainder of 1K.

Nutcase.

The expansions other than KK and ROTWL are way out of my price range. Lucky for me all the information I need to play those quests is right here at the Inn. That combined with a decent printer and I am in business.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Most are offered and won for around 500 bucks each. So there you go.
The nutcases are always the buyers.

It pays to search for HQ expansions in other languages. Check out my latest score: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LES-SORCIERS-DE-MORCAR-pour-HEROQUEST-HERO-QUEST-1991-FRENCH-ED-/231418279557
