Had I money like that to burn, I'd buy them.

Two new auctions on Ebay that are decent deals so far for the basic game system.

First auction is strictly parts only (furniture, some doors, minis and tiles only) starting bid is $39.95 and the seller only is shipping in the United States only .

Second auction is the better deal , looks like an almost complete game system . the bid is at $6.24 right now with three days left in the auction. this seller is offering international shipping.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HeroQuest-Kella ... NA:US:1653

An amazing deal that ends in 4 hours. a complete Keller's Keep with all but 4 monsters still on the sprue and the cardstock pieces are unpunched.

This seller will ship world wide , hopefully someone on the forum can take advantage of this deal.

It is currently at $31.00 dollars, I have never see it for so cheap. I am expecting this one to hit at least $50.00 by the time the auction ends but then again it is sunday morning here in the States so there is a chance the price will stay low.

I imagine this is priced low due to the rather rude note to international bidders. I think the seller shot themselves in the foot there. This set could easily sell at $80+. How is an international bidder supposed to take just the weight and no package dimensions to their local post office and get a shipping rate coming in from a totally different country? Further, a complete KK superbly packed to ship is no more than 1lb in weight. Very poor selling practices make for very low profits. But someone in the US can get a fantastic deal here.

A trend I have noticed lately is the very high shipping people have been charging for shipping.

I buy a lot of plastic models. that hardly wiegh anything. and a few times I paid more in shipping then the actual model and that was buying from sellers here in the US.

Looks like it. Poor resolution, possibly to hide it, but, yeah, looks like they are. And very poor quality.

They look to be. I got a bundle a while back and a few of the Chaos Warriors were recasts. Still look fine and once painted nobody would know. Just need to fix the base since the shrinkage occurred there and it's not flat on the bottom. *shrug*

I don't think those skeletons are recasts. They have excess material from the sprues on their heads and the side of the bases.
Plus this seller also has the rest of his heroquest set listed so they must be the real thing.

It's true that US figures are a bit more undefined and they lack the details of the first done EU ones.

Perhaps Lothgoradin you are not familiar with the type of the base. They lack the little step that EU figures have.
It's not that they're not original, just that US figures have this type of base as opposed to the EU ones.
I can refer you to this picture: gallery/image_page.php?album_id=15&image_id=338
