Real life Persian women. So cool! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK9mL6fmMJ8 That's why they ware burqas. :)

The only person I've seen in the inn showing a persistent prejudicial attitude and repeatedly making genuinely sexist remarks is you! No I'm not singling you out because your a woman, I'm doing it because your the only one who keeps posting that kind of *lemony goodness*.

No woman could do your job? None of the three and a half billion? What about this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhcQEHKUzok I'd so love to fight her! Speed vs Strength.

Of course there are male orientated jobs. Just as long as women that can do those jobs aren't excluded on the basis that most other women can't there's no problem.

knightkrawler wrote:It's like... I don't know, sticking a 170-pound woman into FC Barcelona as a centre-back and giving her Iniesta's wage... It just won't work (pardon the pun).
William Gallas was an awesome and tiny centre-back. There's no reason in principle that an averaged sized woman couldn't be good enough to play for Barcelona and deserved to be paid the same as Iniesta.

This coming from somebody who claims that their job involves dealing with gravitational equations and yet didn't know that Newtonian gravitation was rendered completely obsolete as a true physical description of gravity the moment general relativity replaced it and has since been considered nothing more than a rough approximation, somebody who didn't know that all gravitational influences are one dimensional straight line attractions between each of the combination pairs of the objects in the system, somebody who thought that gravitational imbalances in system are somehow magically capable of correcting themselves and best of all, somebody who actually believes that a ridiculously stupid and unquestionably hate filled and evil two thousand year old mythology is factual!

What's so difficult about the concept of the average woman? You take the three and a half billion, lay them in a line, take measure, and divide the result by three and a half billion.
Then you put them all onto a scale, take measure, and divide the result through three and a half billion.
My question was not about that woman, it was about the average woman.
If that football woman can efficiently defend for FC Barcelona, she should earn the same as Javier Mascherano who efficiently defends for FC Barcelona. But that's her and not the average woman.

Also, there's theory and there's reality as perceived. The perceived reality is quite clear to me.
Still haven't heard from a feminist theorist about the theoretic approach on why every woman doing my job should earn the same wage when compared to me she brings in a third of my performance.

I did quite like the mini's in Wolfies link earlier, though again I feel they lack expression ... and the thief looks alittle impractical (does it fall over alot? ... and can you only sort of use it in ruins? since she's perched on some old ruins? ... maybe that is me being pedantic, I do like my mini's to look like they fit into a variety of scenes though).

But you weren't talking about the average woman.
knightkrawler wrote:No woman could ever keep up in the least.
That's absurd!

Your Barcelona analogy doesn't make sense.

How is that any less silly than sticking the average 170 pound man into the Barcelona defence and paying the the same wage as Iniesta?

Mascherano is that 170 pound man in central defence. Also, this is a wishi-washi example. Don't be distracted like a bad debater. The real deal is my own job. It's indicated by "... I don't know". If you think the analogy makes no sense, then overlook it, move on, and focus on my real question that's being beaten around because no one wants to put themselves out there and give the answer.
I posted earlier that I got every one of the intentions behind your posts. Vice versa? Not so much.
Still haven't gotten an answer to my question by a feminist theorist who's very very "passionate".

"No woman could" uses the "could" as in past tense, not conjunctive. Sorry about that. It means past experience showed that no woman tried in the job was able to keep up and not that it's impossible it will ever happen. Of course it's possible, like the Electric Universe theory being proven true and valid at some point in the future. That analogy according to your taste?

On a sidenote: Gold Bearer, have you ever actually seen a women's football game? With a football fan's eyes?
Think you can replace Per Mertesacker with Annike Krahn and compete for the Premier League title with Arsenal?

Which proves that you don't need to be strongly build to be an effective centre-back, so there's no reason a women couldn't do it. Putting the average woman in the Barcelona team would be very silly but no more silly than putting the average man in that team.

Oh, I get ya. There's two ways of reading that. Could as in past and could as in would be able to.

Your question was whether a woman deserved to have the same wage as much as a man if her performance was sub-par, yes? That really has nothing to do with gender. The real question is whether a sub-par worker deserves the same wage as the rest. I'll put it the other way round. Does it make sense for a woman whose work is above par to get a lower wage than the men doing the same job on the basis that most other women wouldn't be as good?

Finally, a coherent thought on this. It's about your actual talents, not about your gender's supposed possibilities.
Am still interested on what a feminist would answer to my question.

That was the first answer I .... ugh, yeah I'm going to go back to not caring, apparently I don't qualify as a feminist anyway.
