What's funny about that video, is that its BS. Its an imitation of a real interview. Its not like the fourth estate rang up GZ and asked them for an interview. GZ went and created an original work of fiction in the guise of a genuine interview. If the agency doing the interview is not objective then the interview is just propaganda.

Browsed for a little bit and got the feel it would be psuedo D&D stuff from what I found. I'm just guessing that HQ fans will just get miffed once they see that false HQ come up under search results. I know I did the first time I saw it in ebay results, but that belongs in another thread entirely.

Glorantha is the campaign world for a system of gaming rules called Hero Quest.

"For some time now we have been working on creating a "Heroquest" Gloranthan board game with some game designers. We are looking to use the Heroquest trademark for this, and so at this time we must decline your request."

That ideally means, PLASTIC BEASTMAN miniatures. And others, of course. Let's back these guys!

In fact, it's HeroQuest. The Moon Designs property title is always contracted, in contrast to our Beloved One, which mostly is and sometimes isn't. However, I don't know if that even plays a role in the whole trademark and copyright matter.

Actually Moon Design is as much as thieves as GZ in moral level. They claim that they intend to release a Heroquest game, but it will have nothing to do with the original game we love. They just took a known brand name and try to sell an irrelevent product. Its as if Mercedes' IP was expired and a clothes company was snatching it capitalizing in the fact that everyone on planet knows Mercedes brand. Legally they might be ok, but morally not, at least in my book.

Me, too. But that's not the point. AND IT NEVER HAS BEEN, so that's kicking a dead horse.
Nobody - and I mean you and me and everybody - has given a fraggle about who does what with the name HeroQuest.
HeroQuest is "our" game and we have a great forum and resources site and - most importantly - built a hobby around it because of noone giving a fraggle on a legal level.

If I had any say in the matter, I'd want a miniature and plastic furniture and 3D effect markers kickstarter fitting HeroQuest (and having the name in mind when designing the freakin' things, but not using the name) THAT WE CAN SALVAGE LIKE WE HAVE SALVAGED EVERYTHING FOR THIS ONE GAME from Warhammer to D&D to Video Games!
The whole idea of making profit with the name and entertaining the fans went sour with GameZone, although the Germans are still mighty crazy about it.
