Which idea?
We're a curious lot around here :)

Nice reference by the way. One of my favorite movies and definitely my favorite western flick. Almost forgotten about this. Will have to update my imdb profile.

Take a look at this: http://www.burnindesigns.net/2013/04/ne ... rkers.html

You might find some inspiration there.

I also really really like the card boxes they have for Zombicide. I've been thinking of designing a similar box for both Z-cide and HQ cards, but with enough room to store SLEEVED cards inside. I'm also awaiting my MYTH game, which also has lots of cards. The wooden boxes are great, but I fear too snug, so they won't fit sleeved cards. And transparent boxes would be sweet too. I also know a company that makes metal lasercut plates and tubes, so I might get a pricing for an aluminium 2mm thick box if I can get one designed in 2D pieces.

I like Thantos' idea about snap on extensions to the bases. I'd say the extension should only connect on the front and back, as an HQ base is more narrow there. The sides should be left bare, as the board won't fit extra width on those dimensions. My thinking is to use four or more different color for the base extensions. Paired with them would be like-colored skull tokens.

To show thier use, say there are 4 Chaos Warriors in a room. Snap on a red, blue, green, and yellow extension to each base, then place the figures in the room. The red Chaos Warrior takes 2 Body Points of damage. Place 2 red skull markers on the Chaos Warrior Card. Then the green Chaos Warrior takes 1 Body Point of damage. Place a green skull marker on the Chaos Warrior Card.

The effect could also be done by color coding the edges of the bases with paint. Skull markers could be used to track Body Points as intended, but they would be placed on the Monster Card with chits that match the color coding of the bases.
