Seriously though, I'm usually not this hateful towards anyone, but man, these guys have been p!$$!ng me off with their claims of having a trademark and official licenced HQ material, while not being able to prove it, even when their KS was threatened by it (twice now).
Either they start making their OWN game, and let their HQ ideas go, or they show some proof. They're not doing either, keep being stubborn, and have been shut down twice now. I hope they've learned from this.

I wonder what they'll do next. This is like a soap opera man

They got shut down? so what happens to all that $ it was like 518,000 last i checked? wow I 'm so glad i didn't buy into this!

It wasn't charged on peoples creditcards/paypal accounts yet, because kickstarter only charges you AFTER the KS end successfully. Before that, it's just a pledge, an amount you are willing to pay if they make it. So nothing was paid.

Oh I had no idea how that worked So its not going to be coming out in 2014 would be my guess and the got shut down because of copyright laws? thats too bad but it did seem shady to start with, That sucks because all i wanted were the minis and game boards, and the furniture looked/sounded pretty cool.. oh well i guess we have to wait fo the 50th aniversary re-release

Kickstarter doesn't charge until the campaign ends, but Indiegogo charges you at the time of donation. I don't know which method Verkami uses, though.

GZ took this fraud to a Spanish crowdfunding company. It was supposed to open last night and it did, but shut back down about 7 hours later. The spanish crowd funder Verkami had this announcement:

Dear backers,

We want to comunicate our decision of stoping the campaign were you had pledged: ‘Heroquest 25th Anniversary’

The urge to publish the project by the authors today sunday 8 at 1 am has precipitated it’s publication without being able, the team of verkami, to spend the right time to review the project.

After carefully studying the campaign, we believe that the content of the project could be misleading to our users.

Your pledges will be cancelled so no charges will be made in your card or PayPal account.

We thank you for your trust, and we want to apologize for any inconvenience our handling of the project might have caused.
