HeroQuest 25th anniversary crowdfunding!

[Sjeng]

Exactly. GZ does NOT have ANY rights. They claim they do, but have failed to present proof of this, when doing so would have easily and quickly settled ther whole deal, and had made their KS active again.

I don't have enough hands for the facepalm this whole farce deserves...

And they just keep trying. We want proof GameZone. Show us your trademark and approval for releasing anything official related to HeroQuest. I dare you.

You can't. You know why? Because if you could, you would have already done so, and you would have happily resumed your Kickstarter. But you didn't, and so you got cancelled. Conclusion: you're liars.

[TMU]

As much as I would have wanted to back this and trust them, I just can't anymore. There is a game, there is a company, and that's it I hope none of us here backs this!

Is this the end of HQ25? Of course not! Keep reading!

Yes it is.

Sorry GZ but your HQ25 fell at the first obstacle.
They claim to have a 'legitimate rights over the Trademark' but have failed to prove it and I suspect that if they continue with this project another company will step out of the shadows and try to get their hands on a percentage of any potential revenue.

I am not convinced this will ever get released (under the HeroQuest name anyway).

And like most remakes of any medium, the original stays unsullied and our nostalgic love of it untarnished.

Pity though, the furniture/decor would have been nice in the least.

As they have already spent time and money developing these, it seems reasonable that these items will show up in their shop at some point. It makes sense that they would try to recoup some of the cost they have already incurred.

That's what I'm hoping for

[Sjeng]

it would certainly be the wise thing to do.

[Thantos]

Hell, ill buy the masters for adding into my dungeon range

Sounds like they are trying to release on Indiegogo. Weird since the legal problem hasn't gone away... they are just trying to run away from it... Ill laugh if they set up on a EU crowdfunder and it makes it easier for GW to issue a C+D

[Hero_Of_Retro]

Even though GZ ducked out and ran, doesn't that still entitle Moon Design to compensation? Kind of like stealing a car, taking it for a ride, then returning it. Then continuing somewhere else. I agree, im sure where ever they redo this, it will happen again. I did originally back this, but after they failed to give concrete proof, I didn't go any further with it.
