Holy Crap! is that our Herman_the_German?

He was an ass once when I contacted him on eBay about something, but never really put it together, I guess...

I've purchased a few minis from Herman a few times over the years, never had an issue with him.

I looked at the page and, to me, it seems like a teenager with a grudge. I'm not saying it's not true, but I have a hard time taking that at face value. It seems there is a lot more that the site's author is not saying (I'm sure that's true on both ends). Personally, I have generally avoided herman's listings in the past because the listings sound fishy to me. I've seen where he says they are HQ figures, when clearly they are not. Being usable in HQ and being HQ figures are two different things. Some also look like recasts.I tend to read the fine print to avoid being legally scammed. He says that his parts may be replacement parts, which to me sounds like he isn't denying that he sells recasts and he can always come back to that to defend himself. I also believe his figures have the homemade "professionally printed" cards with them which makes them look like they are genuine figures, which they are not. I think I ordered one figure of snotlings from him as I did receive one with a HQ-style card, but that was it. If I remember right, that card was clearly one that was printed, then folded over and glued. It most certainly was not a professionally printed one.

This might be a little picky but the only issue I have with Herman the German's listings is there are way too many of his listings related to HQ specifically. It doesn't matter what you type in the Ebay search engine pertaining to the term HeroQuest, you have to look through his 200+ listings to find what you are looking for. It's almost like a saturated miniature market. If you are trying to find actual HQ miniatures on Ebay at a competitive price, you will be reduced to sifting through all of his 200 listings of non-HQ miniatures and will have a hard time finding other Ebay member listings. Yes, I may be picky, but it drives me crazy.

I get that. I bothers me in general when I have to sort through a lot of auctions that aren't HQ when I want authentic HQ.

You could put "-herman_the_german" in your search query and it'll exclude his items.

How is this HeroQuest? Am I missing an expansion I don't know about?

That was most certainly an unfocused typo. The seller thought about HeroQuest and mixed them up while typing probably. Heroscape is as sought after as HeroQuest is, so he's not even winning more interest through false advertisement.

Is Heroscape that wanted? My friend bought a ton of stuff for it and seemed like a relatively short time later it was abandoned despite having a lot of fans. I enjoyed the few games I trounced my friend while playing with him.
