I posted this once before, here it is again mostly from memory, the same idea rewritten:
When I was a kid, I was raised under the idea that paying alot for this kind of a collection - on gamesss (said with a discouraging tone) was an incredibly foolish waste of a) time B) MONEY
and that anyone who did so was an utter idiot. In order to play this HQ you would have to have found it for $2.50 at a garage sale and then not wasted too much time on it - play it after dark, when there's no more practical work to be done. Or, if it were bought for the kids (which was the original way it had been for me), then the 20 yr olds could help them play it since it was complicated.
Well I'm glad I had independence enough to have learned otherwise! I spent a good ~$100 on HQ + bitch lord (neither one entirely complete but what the hell) and man, we have had entertainment like you wouldn't believe out of it over the past few years. If, as a collector, you want to get hold of the stuff, it is worth what you are willing to pay for it. It's your frikkin money! You earned it! "Put it where it will give you the most pleasure, I would not want you to put it anywhere less!"
I hope you guys who really want the originals find what you are looking for! As for me, I really want to get hold of either an original FASA Z-1 Nova and also a Regula-1, or, failing that, a good resin copy.
