Thanks so much for doing this. I believe that this has taken over any survey results I'm bringing in, and my next quest set will indeed be Island of Blood, even though it focuses on Skaven instead of 'standard" monsters from HQ. (Isle of Blood has some Skaven minis not available elsewhere, and now I want to put them to use.)

So, here's what I got for you guys hehehe: First is Thrawn's big haul:

The guy at the counter sees me enter, says: Hi, back again? I said I had reserved some more boxes, so went and got the boxes he put aside for me, comes back with this huge stack, and says: So, is that all? I'm like: yeah, that's all he says: ...for today xD
They were cleaning up all their remaining warhammer stuff, as their store focuses mainly on warfare models, tanks, planes, choppers, cars etc.etc. and RC vehicles. He said they make no profit at all on these. I told him if he got stuck with some boxes, he should contact me. Perhaps even more cheap stuff for us later I'll keep you posted. I might get some more myself

And here's Big Bene's box: tell me which ones you would like to have sent to you. I'll keep the others. They're pretty much customizable, so just take a pick of torso's, arms, weapons and shields.

I'll see if I can weigh them on a small scale. Don't have one here, but I'll see if I can find a kitchen scale somewhere.

They have definitely evolved over the years, although remember those are savage orcs, not "normal" orcs.

Thrawn's packages weigh 1898 grams without packaging box / filling, so it's probably gonna weigh slightly over 2kg in a cardboard box...
0-2kg € 24,30
2-5kg € 34,30
A small package with a maximum of 2kg though is € 18,05... I'll have to ask the post office what they consider to be "small". If you don't mind me opening the boxes, and folding them, I might be able to make a smaller package, flat and wide as the biggest box (island of blood), so it looks like a painting-shaped box perhaps.

Big Bene: The three orc sprues + bases out of the box weigh 124g without a bubble envelope. = 100 - 250 gram € 4,50 So that won't be a problem. Let me know which parts you want from the sprues.

Managed to bring the package down to just under 2kg to save shipping lol. Scanned the boxes I'm not sending along for ya (put the sprues in the Island of Blood box.)


I've seen people use the banner illithid mask as a helmet for the leader miniature ^^

Well, for those living in the Netherlands, or perhaps nearby Belgians and Germans: another local store is selling out all warhammer stuff. Fantasy and 40k. I saw some batallion boxes for €55,- and everything was 40% off (when buying 4 boxes. 1=10%, 2=20%, 3=30%, 40% max).
I also saw an ogre tyrant and butcher, large metal models, but €27,50 each at normal prices is still way too much sadly. Just thought I'd mention it. The shop has a webshop, but his WH stuff isn't listed so a link is useless.
OH well.

I imagine they all sell out all remaining stuff from that British manufacturer now, because they feel their balls grow.
The smaller the retailer, the more urgently he needs to make himself independent from you-know-whose stuff, which will in most cases probably mean he will have to shut down.

That British company wants to push all retailers (especially online-only retailers) out of business so that the last tiny bit of the manufacturer's business comes in house.
That way, they need not sell a box for, say 10 quid to a retailer, who sells it for 20 quid.
They can sell directly to you (because you'll find no other place where you can buy stuff of that particular manufacturer) for 20 quid which doubles their margin.
BLINGBLING

Then they'll lower the prices, just a tiny bit, so that every nerd out there says, "Look, these people from that British game and miniature manufacturer are true heroes. Let's buy more of that stuff".
Then they'll start to raise prices again, like before, a little each year - and their gains 2016 will have doubled from the gains 2012.

That, in my theory (heavily influenced by others, of course), is you-know-whose longterm business plan.
And that is why I will not put money into unused (new) stuff from that particular manufacturer.

Maybe this may seem like a rant to you, but I was about to put it out there in any thread, anyway.
