Polystyrene can be annoying as heck if you don't know what you are doing. But there are a few tricks you can use.

1. Buy/make a polystyrene cutter. It's basically a thin metal wire attached to a battery. It will melt through the poly and leave a clean hard surface. You will never go back!
2. Using a SHARP knife and CUTTING. NOT sawing! If you cut in long clean "strokes". You will end up with a very clean smooth surface (Even on the white industrial type). Practice on something first.
3. Use a lighter/candle to lightly melt the surface of your object. This will turn it nice and hard.

But for small projects like a wall base, I would not recommend polystyrene.

drathe has a picture of one at the bottom of the Wizards of Morcar page. It's the Furniture picture.

Here's a different picture from another site that shows them in use:

Seriously awesome link. I was wondering where to get the actual boards for the egypt board overlay and the into the sewers overlay. I was thinking about going to a thrift store and buying an old monopoly game or something and then gluing it.
Sure it's pretty scary when the witch lord returns but what you should really be afraid of is "Resurrection of the Witch Lord". Resurrected baddies always come back more threatening than ever, usually kind of demonic with wings and horns and hell fire to announce their arrival. Think Gannondorf or Mother Brain from Super Metroid.

I think i'll opt for the real deal ,
or that Green Stuff that was mentioned. The ones in that link are weaksauce i could probably just use a door base instead. Not trying to be mean just not for me. Thanks gang. :) I'm never going to see a real spell base for sale am I?

I have seen them on ebay once or twice, but I suspect they don't sell alone very often. Sorry.
