And another problem.
When I want to export a map as a pdf, I'm told
"Can't export file. Please set the right ghostscript path."

So, I got HeroScribe running finally and played around a little.

One problem: I use the NA layout, so the corridors are darkened. But somehow it's impossible to further darken corridor parts that will not be part of the map.
I mean, unused rooms are even darker than the used corridors, so the end result looks weird as it is...

Can somebody help me with that?

Unzip the attachment inside your HeroScribe folder, overwriting the files. (objects.xml and .png files)
The only maps where you'll still have issues are the Dragon Strike city (the circular and diagonal corridors) and two spots in the Dragon Strike Castle (small bit of corridor near the round towers).

Exporting to PDF requires an additional program. http://www.ghostscript.com/ download and install ghostcript, then within HeroScribe, under preferences, set the ghostscript path to the folder where gswin32c.exe is located.

I tried but WinRar tells me "Zugriff verweigert"/"Access Denied".
It doesn't generate the files.

Try running winrar with admin rights, or use 7zip instead.

Now nothing works.
I don't see 7zip unpacking anything although I can choose options (unpack to Programs\HeroScribe; or extract here; I tried both options).
Maybe it's just so fast I don't see it. I don't know if the files have been overwritten. There are no new files in the HeroScribe folder.

Thing is, heroscribe.jar and heroscribe.bat both don't work anymore (no access to the .jar file).
I'm at a loss...

Next option would be to unpack it in its own folder, (this will show you if it's actually unpacking the files) then copy/paste the contents in the HeroScribe folder.

I've had Java update a couple times and change the folder in which its executable is in. This required me to change the .bat file to the new location. Outside of that possibility, I too am at a loss.
