Make and rearrange your folders in Heroscribe

For at least another three years so that I can enjoy it, too.

Another feature:
Automatic grey/white on the map depending on door placement.

+ the option of US-style darkening of corridors and unused squares in EU layout.
+ different color markings as options to put behind icons (pastelly colors, not bold saturated ones).
+ taking away bold black edges from icons that don't contain walls (like those for Descent...)

Change the graphics engine from eps to svg so that the tool survives the next ten years as it has the last 15.

Just corrected the first post:
the folders appear in the order you put them, but the content is always in alphabetical order.

So it would be wise to name things not like

Secret door
Alternate secret door

but instead to give names like
Secret door
Secret door alternate

in order to have them together.

yes, but also it would be good to have Single Blocked Square and Double Blocked Square consecutively and not in alphabetical order.

... that's why I just renamed them to Blocked Square Single and Blocked Square Double.

have the time currently, and notepad++ accepts regex so it was quick.

That's odd that Heroscribe alphabetizes the icons, but the boards are listed in the order that they appear in the XML document. Totally inconsistent.

That's an impressive, clear tutorial, Anderas. I'd like to sticky this topic, but it kinda gets lost in this room. I'd like to move it to the Icons room as this tutorial appears to be primarily for that kind of work. Am I correct? The advantage is it would be found next to other Heroscribe posts and the primary Heroscribe tutorial. What do you think?

It would also be helpful to put multiples... like the "Staircase" is a tile but it's placed in with Furniture. Having a copy there is fine but another ought to appear in "Various" where the other tiles are. A trapped treasure chest is under furniture, which makes sense, but putting another copy in "Traps" would be similarly useful.

The ability to lift up and move an already placed icon would be a very useful feature, but it seems at present all you can do is shift it X/Y which just pushes it in one direction. You can actually place icons on the outer edge (so an "in door" would have to have the dark arrow inside the corridor rather than outside the grid for instance).

I like HeroScribe but a few features for a new version would be awesome, especially if it were compatible with the old XMLs.
