Eyes of Chaos figure?

Postby Spookyhappyfun » Tuesday November 13th, 2018 2:29pm

I'm surprised there isn't a thread about this one after all this time, but what do you use to represent the Eyes of Chaos on your board?

Obviously the skull tokens can work easily and quickly, but does anyone have anything more interesting? Any figures or more specific tokens that you use? Maybe some neat art that you put on a door stand?

Let me know what you use when you run this.

Has anyone done a "Sauron figure" yet? I mean, logically they'd do the armored figure from the LotR prologue, but cmon... giant glowing red eye thingy? Bueller?

I use something I found in my "bits" box, I think it was originally a part of a Warhammer 40k tyranid type thingy.
If I get a chance I'll post a photo of it, but basically it's a ball-shaped thing on a tentacled leg, stood upright and mounted on a base. I painted eyes on the ball part. It depicts what it needs to, and actually looks better than the description above must sound.

That's it!!!! The one on the right with the black spore-head.
I painted the tentacle green, and the spore-head red as I recall the quests notes saying that the eye of chaos glows red before it attacks. I put eye dots on all of the head sections, to make it look like the eye of chaos is multi-faceted.

How about using the spare skulls on the Return of the Witch Lord sprue? (The ones that were meant for furniture in the base game.)

Stick skull on wire. Attach to base. Paint skull creepy green. Paint skull eyes creepy red. Doneski.

I would have preferred the Eyes to be actual eyes, though...
