I use the same MAM mechanic on some Goblin Archers. In and of itself, it's not too powerful. But you have to use some commonsense with your group. If I had 4 on the board peeking around the intersections and corridor ends all at once, it'd be too much. However, 1 peeking around the end of the hallway seems a good fit for me most of the time. The Heroes generally want to get rid of him and it can speed things up, you can also use that to lay an ambush at the mid-board intersection. Great possibilities with it.

I've never tried the stealing ability on an archer type monster. Could be very interesting to try it. Usually they're at a distance (for me anyway) so they don't often get in a situation where they could probably steal something and make it away.

Part of the fun with Move Hit Move goblins with ranged weapons is you can use them to take the heroes on a time wasting run around. Especially if you have a full circuit the little buggers can run around and come back to square one. Or pull them into an ambush...
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Cynthia, you are really evil! :D I was thinking only about the closed-room-situation when designing the card. :D
If necessary i will change the MAM rule again.

Until then:
Goblin Whistleblower. It is a normal Goblin who can open one door if you discard a EWP card. To be placed in front of Boss Rooms. Hr hr hr.

Ok, feedback: Move action Move is too strong if used unlimited with the goblins. It will be a discard ability soon. I just have to prepare the cards. :)

... in my last game, a bunch of goblins was killing a Hero in two turns. He was opening the door, there were three Goblins. In the neighbor room there were three goblins more; and i used the EWP Card "Alert" to open it. So i had six goblins, and they just killed the dwarf by move action move. He was equipped with 3/3 and he had full Body Points. Problem was, they ALL could hit the hero; every single one of them. One moves in, hits, goes away, the next moves in. Until all of them had their fun.

The hero couldn't even flee as the goblins are so fast they would follow and do the same, just some fields away. It wasn't a Spear Goblin or Shooter Goblin, mind, it was just the basic Goblin with unlimited MAM.

So MAM needs limiting. (and my EWP deck was tested the first time... that needs adjustment, too... derived from Sjeng and GYG maybe i made it too strong.)

And that is why you don't split the party. That Dwarf got what he had coming.
move act move is a very powerful power in this game and should be used with care and consideration. I only use these types of monsters against well geared heroes fighting higher level challenges. This way I can bring some of the lower level monsters back into play. These M A M goblins are elite troops, not just average shmucks.

{6 Goblins with M A M is 2 more than I have used in an encounter.}

If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Anderas, those useful graveyard and rock outcropping monster backgrounds would be more easily located at Board index ‹ Gallery ‹ Artchives ‹ Card Art ‹ Generic Backgrounds. I'd like to post them there, as well. Problem is, they will appear to be my work if I do. Would you mind posting them there as well or letting me do it?

I have no problem if you post them there. I would even be happy if you know a method that has a longer survival time. Just seen half of the images in this thread don't work anymore be case I updated the Monster cards.

Just make sure you post the highest resolution. Or tell me how to, I will do it Saturday.

Too bad about your lost images. :( The Gallery should hold your image files safely.

Unfortunately, I haven't updated Windows on my computer so I'm currently a bit limited in using file-sharing services. I can only set up the images from the thread. You should upload your high-resolution files personally. However, if you stay too busy I can always set up your thread images, instead.

How I do it: Your monsters are also worth saving safely, so first go to Board index ‹ Gallery ‹ Artchives ‹ Card Art ‹ Monster and Mercenary Art. You want to hit the [NEWIMAGE *] button (above the top row of images, on the left.)

On the UPLOAD IMAGE screen, hit the [Browse...] button next to the open File field and select your image from your computer. Then hit the [Continue] button below to...upload....

I imagine you can alternately grab the file info straight from flikr and enter it directly into the File: field, then hit [Continue] to upload.

On the second UPLOAD IMAGE screen you should see a preview of your image. Retitle your pic and fill in an image description if you feel the need.

Don't forget to save the monster backgrounds at Board index ‹ Gallery ‹ Artchives ‹ Card Art ‹ Generic Backgrounds.
