Let me just add, if Sorc-App did take the artwork from somewhere but could demonstrate that said artwork was either public domain or a reasonable facsimile thereof (some Creative Commons licensing allows for derivative works), it wouldn't matter that the art wasn't original to him.

Indeed that was my point. Without any explicit traceability and saying they are copyright "clean" we all assume you made them from scratch. Clearly any new image made from things on the web is your copyright, but not exclusively yours.

Also I didn't think he meant he was using it in his own KickStarter (he should pay you something in that case!!!) but rather that to accompany some other items he has arriving from KickStarters, he wanted new dice. The dice guy has a disclaimer that he won't make copyrighted dice... So you the requester assume all liability. For home use, he should just use the HQ dice pattern and not worry about it. If he were ordering them and re-selling, that is another matter.

And, actually, I think I might have seen something similar to that skull, as well. Wasn't sure,
exactly...but it did look a bit familiar.
