Time for an update. Recently got a 3d printer and have been upgrading all my pieces plus replacing a bunch of the tiles with better 3d variants. Stairs, rubble blockage, secret doors, pit traps etc. Also been continuing to build all the low lying walls.

Now that I have the majority of the stuff for the lower level ready its time to find a way to make it all fit nicely, as space is a premium.

Jigsaw puzzle anyone??

This all fit better then I expected. Lots of room to spare.
May need it for the extra boss minis from the kickstarter

Hahaha this is really full. I've settled on printed neoprene tiles to avoid space problems. My wife is already looking at me sideways when I open my cupboard. :D

Hell I got another case I am building for the semi modular board I am making. My gf thinks I am nuts doing all this when I really have no one to play it with.

My ex-wife was the same way when it came to anything HeroQuest. I understand what your going through.

Maybe with all the work you have done you could host a game here at the Inn. I'm sure that members will gladly play a few games with you. :D

I haven't played a single game of HQ since I finished making 3D tiles to replace the board. The tiles have been used in various other fantasy games though - my son uses them for DnD. I don't think we will ever play proper HQ again, it doesn't have the depth that he craves. I've started upgrading the tiles now to be double sided - making some wooden plank rooms. At this stage it is more for the satisfaction of the craft than usefulness.

Yes, I know what you mean. I wasn't programming an automatic Heroquest card generator because it was saving so much work.

Now I make an update of a card, I recompile all of them. NO its NOT stupid.
But I think coding is fun, so everything's ok :D

Aw man, what a shame. Glad to hear he enjoys gaming, must be a lovely bonding experience. My boy is now 2. I think I've got 6 years to paint my figs and sort out the collection before we begin.. I hope he's into it though :goblin:

Used a mix of wire cutters and a hot knife to have the pillars look cracked and beaten up then primed them in black
