I like it and all and it's cool but it looks a little confusing, I would like to try it though. I'll will have start translating it now I might have it done in a week or two.

Just so you are aware, all the Hero and Monster cards have already been translated to English. Best start on some of the other stuff. ;) If'n when I get that unfinished projects forum done, we'll have to start a thread for the translating of this project.

22 juin 2010

HeroQuest 2010 :
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GT7RHQA0

Correction of the cards monsters (from the euro version) including the logo for the chaos sorceer, add some rules, best view of the quest books and character sheets, correction of one treasure card (holy water), added magic shop.
-> 1 quest book (14 quests reworked !)
-> 1 file of card ready to print (use color laser for few bucks the result is better)
-> 1 file of rules, character sheets, magic shop, armory

HeroQuest KARAK VARN 2010 first expansion (kellar keep) :
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=85EAPADB 002 HEROQUEST KARAK VARN.rar

-> 1 quest book with 10 new quests reworked + some rules added
-> 2 new pages of cards to print (treasures & artefacts)
-> 1 page ready to print (magic shop extended)

All in french, more than 1400 downloads in 1 month !
French players really like this "mini" advanced version since the one we had was very awful...
So I Will deliver Return of Witch Lord next week with this huge request.

I've become bogged down with a plethora of Ye Olde Inn stuff this year and haven't been able to assist HeroQuestFrance in translating his rules to English. If anyone else is able and interested, please let HeroQuestFrance know in this thread.

I've moved this topic to the new Projects forum (a shadow topic still exists in the rules section, as the French files are still pertinent to the rules section). Here, you may co-ordinate your efforts and update each other on what have been completed for this project and list what has yet to be done.

@HeroQuestFrance, I suggest editing your first post with a projects list containing information on the files that still need to be translated, the ones in progress and the ones already completed.

Thus far, I have already translated the Monster Cards and Character Cards. If anyone can help HeroQuestFrance with these translations, please do so. I will join the project again once I have completed a lot of the Ye Olde Inn stuff that still needs to be done.

I have stopped this advanced project for a while, the time to release "HeroQuest 2010", the new basic rules, cards and quests of the game since the french version was completely awful.
It's a kind of mix bewteen the US and european versions, with all new quests not full of bugs (and tested several times), the missing chaos spell cards, a huge gear & potion lists available between quests, additional rules with a entire new design for all corrections of some translations & better adaptations etc.
I've already done HeroQuest basic game box + kellar Keep + Return of the Witch Lord + Against the Ogre Horde all in french.
Morcar's Sorcerers is almost finished and only barbarian & ellf quest packs need to be redone.

It's a question of time until I will work again on the old version we started to translate.

What did you use for paper for your cards? Did you use some sort of card stock?

Nope normal paper A4 120 mg
I print in color (laser) the face (treasure, monsters, spells etc) then on another the back with description & image.
I insert carefully the cards into the plastic and I plastify myself.

I did the same for character sheets etc

Bonjour France, just been checking this post. If there is any translating I can help with, let me know. Check out my greetings posts, I used to visit your wonderful country in a different, younger life. Did I spell the green alcoholic beverage correctly? Bien Vennue Ken
