Crystical R has a compression PSI of around 14,000, Herculite is around 5,000PSI, so it's pretty strong. For example, I can't break the tiles with my bare hands, I have to use pliers. It's cure to demould time is around 15 minutes, so it's perfect for hirst arts stuff mate.

That's the stuff then. Perfect for kids or those accidental drops. Do they have any of this available in the US? I'm sure it'll cost a left testicle to get some but you never know...

I'll be interested to see the progress of this thread.

Ivan - Try looking for merlins magic or hydrocal in the US mate, you'll get that locally and they've both got similar properties to crystical.

Thanks gents, got the corridors painted up ...

Corridors laid out after being weathered ....

The weathering was done with Modelmates sprays ....

There's a tutorial on how I did it here ...

Hope you like them folks, next up the individual rooms, more photos coming soon ... hopefully!

This is looking very good. Are you adding walls?

I second the wall question. And I still look forward to see how the rooms are handled. It would be nice to see more done with this.

Yeah, same here, it's looking really good. What's the dimensions of the tiles? The Hirst Arts site says 3/4' but to my eye, they seem larger. How many mm? Math says it should be almost 20 mm. Is that right?

In the video TripleT linked to, they look more like 40mm.

I think those are the 1.5 inch tiles, so thats about 38mm. I'm using the 1 inch tiles on my own board that i'm making as those huge 1.5 inch tiles won't fit my twisting catacoombes terrain.
