So. Do I read it right? I can steal instead of attacking and then I get a movement no matter what?

I'll move 3 paces forward. I'll search for traps on my next go. The crossbow man wont risk over taking me so may as well moves us out of here if there are no traps, oh and I'll recover potion before we leave. assuming no more traps, wandering monsters etc.

Yes, but I made a failure too.
You lose 1 BP but your turn is not over.

You could maybe buy a helmet for 120.

You need mercs, the more the better, otherwise the next quest is not survivable.
Maybe sell something to get one more?
