The Rising of The Mountains

There are ten Wizard Cities scattered around the world. Seven have fallen to evil Orcs and Goblins. Two of the remainder are under attack, the whereabouts of final city is unknown to all. The Heroes are searching for the lost city.

The Janitor has returned from his vacation that was filled with Wine, Women and Song. He has been studying the Domestos Doomsday Compendium of Spells, and learning new incantations, so is fully equipped for the future.
janitor spells.doc

Our Heroes find the Lost City, and rush the Gates, attacking two Orc Sentries. One falls, the other ripostes and attacks Pustilence the Potwasher. He fights back. Meanwhile Wallace the Wookey opens a door, blunders into the room, and steps into a Pit Trap. Pustilence downs the tough old Orc, whilst the Janitor rushes down a passage towards some Goblins, suffering the damage caused by some hidden spear traps. He refreshes his Body Point total with the Blitz Lemon Powder spell from his Compendium. Wallace is attacked by a Goblin, suffers two serious cuts.

Wallace ripostes and downs the Goblin. The room is clear, so he searches for treasure. His luck is out to lunch, he turns up a Wandering Monster in the shape of a Chaos Warrior! He parries the attack. His Buddy, the Janitor plays Total Blast on the C-W, down it goes. Wallace charges on, finds an empty room. The Janitor skips by him and searches. Just 10 Gold Coins. The Janitor is in the lead, opens a door and is faced with three Firmirs. He hangs back, allowing Pustilence to rush in. Our boys come under attack, but fight back. The Janitor plays Zero Limescale , negating the attack he has taken. He attacks his opponent, it goes down. The Firmirs rush in again. The Janitor takes two heavy blows, plays Sink Unblocker, still loses one BP. Wallace is doing well, he downs two Firmirs on successive turns, and the room is clear. Our Boys re-cuperate, and hasten on. Wallace opens a door and steps through. He is Transported across the city (board) . Janitor opens an alternate door, is attacked by a C-W, and takes a hit. His pals rally round, Pustilence takes out the C-W with a jab from his Spear. Bar-Dun, the dragon slayer comes into the picture. He searches the room, turns up another W-M! he takes a hit from its attack. On his turn, he is dobbed again! Janitor plays Germ Kill on the C-W, it goes down. Wallace, from his position in the distance, charges into a mess of Goblins.
pic 2.jpg

He quickly overpowers one of them, finds the Janitor has followed him, taking out a second beast. The Goblins fight back, but our Boys defend well. Wallace downs another, Bar-dun takes out another, Pustilence fells the last. Our Boys all search the room. Janitor lucks out yet again, turns up a C-W, and loses two BP to its attack. Plays his last Blitz Lemon Powder to stay in the game. Wallace charges on.
pic 3.jpg

And finds hisself in the infamous Revolving Room. He revolves at speed, and finishes up back where he started. Janitor fares better when he enters the room, finds hisself facing the Ice Witch
pic 4.jpg

He gives her Germ Blast, she is down to one BP from four. Pustilence rolls on his turn, and finishes up in the Library, with an Orc searching for a book. He quickly downs the Orc, before it can finish the first page. The Ice Witch does her best, but is no match for the mighty Janitor. He casts Grot Buster on her, she is melted! Janitor finds two keys on her Sorcerers Table. Bar-dun finds a Secret door in the room, faces two Firmirs, but they scuttle through another Secret door into the Gold Depository, two large chests. This is where the Ice Witch kept her Legacy. Our Heroes soon take out these Firmirs and rifle the chests, sharing 400 gold coins. Pustilence is still in the Revolving Room, cannot throw a Six to escape. Bar-dun uses one of his keys to open a Stone Door. In the room is the Leader of the Dead. Janitor rushes in, kills one of the Skeleton bodyguards with Lemon Fresh Neutralising Powder. After a final gigantic battle, our Heroes find the Way Out, into Sunlit Uplands. The D-M takes pity on Pustilence, sets him free from the terrors of the Revolving room.

What ever happened to the Chronicles of Sir Ragnar?
by Blackthorn » Monday November 19th, 2012 5:42am

It looks like a great idea and I have the mercenary figures required for the prequel, but this quest ends with the heroes being captured and the project seems to have come to a halt. Just curious.
Fear the chinkle!

The Chronicles came to an end, with the death of the great man. Check out this subject. But, don't be glum! he lives on, (or at least his skeleton does), and attacks young Puck and his Heroes in the form of a W_M. Sorry to hear about your lack of Game-play, El_Flesh. Same for me, as Puck hasn't been for a while.

Re: Ken's Saturday Day Dungeon

Puck is here today, Saturday 24th . We had a chat about our old pal, El_Flesh and his lack of a Quest. We decided to include him in our Quest today, as a new character. Here is his card.
El_Flesh, Diviner & Conjurer
Move 2 Dice
Attack 3
Defend 4
Body 6
Mind 6
Ability to search for Secret Traps & Doors, with Monsters present. Roll 1 combat dice. Skull, nothing, White Shield GM must show Traps & Doors. Black Shield, miss one turn, but can defend, normally.
Has Conjurers spells.
We made up six spells roughly based on the Chaos Sorcerers spells.
So, here we go, with Wallace the Wookey, El_Flesh, Bar-Dun The Dragon Slayer and Pustilence the Potwasher. Puck reads us the preamble. We are on holiday, walking on the beach, we look in a cave, and find a door. Ever nosey, we decide to open the door, and see whats’ what. Down a long passage are several Mummies. Pusilence downs the first, the rest of them retreat on the GM turn. Flesh tries a little divining, but keeps rolling skulls! Getting us nowhere. Of course, we stumble into some spear traps, chasing these reluctant Mummies. Pustilence catches and downs another, and the last one retreats even further. We turn the corner at the end of the passage, only to see a Skeleton at the far end, plus the running Mummy. Flesh divines, and rolls a white shield! Puck as GM must show all Secret Trapa & Doors along the passage. We kill the Mummy, and Flesh casts a Command spell on the Skel. It is now under his Aura until it can roll a Six & break the spell. Flesh brings his pet into attack, and of course, it sets off a Pit Trap in a new section of Passage, sacrificing itself for the common good.
pic 1.jpg

Flesh moves in to open a door, empty room. He searches & finds some Gems to the value of 50 Gold. We move on & he opens a second door. Behind it he finds an Armed Mummy. This guy has one extra dice in attack & defence. Flesh skilfully wards off its attack, and Wallace blunders in to the first room, searching for Gold. Knowing his luck of old, he turns up a WM. It’s a Zombie. Wallace defends well, and Bar-dun attacks the Zombie, on his turn. This attack fails. Flesh comes under attack from the Armed Mummy again, but it’s a complete miss! Pustilence takes his turn, three hits on the AM, it goes down. We search & find a Secret Door, Flesh casts Fear on a Firmir Spellcaster, it is banished to the furthest corner of the board. Flesh is attacked again, another complete miss. This character bears a charmed life.
pic 2.jpg

Bar-dun searches the Treasure Chest, finds a Potion of Healing. Flesh looks in the Cupboard, nothing! Here we stop for lunch.
We move along, Pustilence finds that the Passage beside him has 2 Doors, 2 Mummies. On GM turn the banished Firmir Spellcaster finally catches up, casting Summon Orcs. He rolls 5. Pustilence is attacked by 2 Mummies, but shrugs them off. Bar-dun & Pustilence clear the way ahead. Flesh on his turn, accesses the situation. He decides to cast Summon Undead. This conjures up a group of Pinko Skels. He rolls a 3.
pic 3.jpg

Zargon the Firmir Spellcaster casts Command on Wallace the Wookey. The GMs Orcs attack a Pinko, but he riposts. No luck for GM. The Pinkos attack, downing 2 Orcs. Flesh casts Rust on Wallace, so he cannot harm Our Heroes. We journey on. Zargon casts Summon Undead, 4 Skels. Flesh finds a Potion of Strength in the Alchemists Bench.
pic 4.jpg

Zargon casts Lightning Bolt on B-D and Pustilence. His minions crowd in.
pic 5.jpg

Flesh casts Ball of Flame on Zargon, he loses one BP. The monsters attack again, with little success. Wallace finally rolls a 6 to releasse hisself from Command. We fight on. The next Monster attack causes much damage. We all suffer!, but respond.Flesh drinks his Potion of Strength & faces up to Zargon. 4 hits! Zargon is Down & Out!. Flesh is attacked by GMs Orcs, but he beats them off. Wallace with his rusted equipment manages to kill an Orc. B-D opens a door, find a Chest containing a Potion of Healing. We struggle on. Flesh opens a door into a room containing 2 Skels. He is attacked by an Armed Mummy, lurking in the shadows. Loses his first BP of the Quest. What a man! He riposts and downs the AM. Pustilence searching for Treasure finds a Wandering Monster. The Treasure Pack is full of them. Just his luck. Wallace finds the Exit, and leaves the scene. Bar-dun finds 250 Gold Coins in a chest, Flesh searches a second chest, 250 again. Our Heroes stumble out onto the beach, the Quest is over.

We had olives for lunch, so turned your back, as I know you don't like 'em. We had another 3 generation Quest on the Sunday, and you fared well in that one too!

How did my question from another topic wind up here? And of what Chronicles do you speak? Only the prequel seems to be available.
