Baylor - I like the way you explain how the heroes enter the fortress. It has always bugged me how the forces of evil are occupying some dungeon/fortress/bastion yet anyone can just walk down some steps and wander around inside.

i was trying to keep it short and sweet, i have a tendency to usually waffle and go into too much detail.
think of it a bit like the films "Red Sonya" or "Krull"!
I have to admit i really was using this dungeon as a distraction from work for a few hours, but i'm sure that i can work out the kinks and improve on the next 1.
do u think its playable?

If you're asking me, I would say I'm sure it's playable, but I don't think it looks as good as the official quests (with the exception of maybe the trial and castle of mystery).

I will soon post my questbooks for your blamming pleasure.

Puck is at the door, Quest folder in one hand, and miniature box in t’other. In he comes & I introduce him to Baylor’s Quest. He sorts out his crew, and goes for Zarman the Orc Slayer, Hercules, standard Barbarian, Sir Roland, the Paladin & Koup the Healer (spellcaster).
I read him the preamble & Zarman leads the way, through the first door. I explain about the Trail Of Blood, and he decides to sniff along it, the others hot on his tail. They reach room D , clear out the Orcs, and Koup searches the Weapons Rack. He draws a Mithril Shirt from the Equip. cards, (4 in defence), gives it to Zarman.
the start.jpg

They journey on, thro’ the RH rooms, Zarman opens Right & Left doors, looking Left into Room G. Sir Roland searches for treasure in that centre-bottom room, & draws the W-M card! Up leaps the Ogre Lord hisself, swats poor Roland with 3 hits. Koup rushes in, and Zaps Lord Grazhalk with the Sleep Spell. (No Black Shields from 5)!
Zarman leaps into the fray, swinging Serpent Breath, an Artefact Sword, 3 Attack, from an earlier Quest, one hit. Roland cast a Holy Lightning Miracle on the Ogre, 3 Attack. Gazhalk defends, 5 skulls! He is no more!
gazhalk 2.jpg

The Heroes beam back to the LH side of the board, and open up the door into Room C. Zarman rushes in, kills the shackled Goblin, (Shame)! Koup checks out the chest, and pockets the Gold.
They Transport back to bottom centre corridor, Zarman opens door, they check for T&D, & Treasure, & enter LH room. Zarman attacks the Orc with Serpent Breath. The Orc does the Kansas City Shuffle & evades the attack. Roland attacks the Goblin, complete miss! Koup diags. The Orc, dead! Gobbo takes 2 lumps out of Sir Roland. Roland grabs revenge on his turn, & lays out the little one. They transport to Bottom RH corner room. Check out the room, no probs. Zarman opens the door into Room E & attacks the Orc therein. 4 hits & it is gone. Hercules comes in, searches for T&D and finds the secret door. (Here Puck says, out of the Blue, “What’s El_Flesh really like, Granddad”. Well, I’m completely Hornswoggled. What do I say, quick as a flash “ Just like us, mate, likes the Salami, Jumbalaya & Cake” He seems quite pleased at that, so we travel on).
room F.jpg

The Heroes travel North. They clear out the top LH room, and Roland opens the last door. He moves to the chest, kicks aside the Goblin, & lifts the lid! I give him the Spirit Blade & quietly offer him a Red Dice. “What’s this for”, asks Puck, “Roll it & see” says I. He throws a Big Six!!
room G.jpg

Down in Room G the Ogres are stirring.
Puck assesses the situation, & Zarman, part Elf, three spells, plays Fires of Wrath on one Ogre. One hit. ( I drew up a Single Body Point Track beforehand, as per Against The Ogre Hoard, with 3 hits between each Skull). Koup plays Pass Thro’ Rock on Zarman, for his next turn. Zarman reaches Room G with the help of the Spell & is ready to attack the Ogres from the rear, as I left 3 in there as rearguard, and took 3 up through Room E. He cross-bows the nearest, complete miss!
pass-thro-rock.jpg

Roland gets to the Secret Door in Room E , & meets the Ogre rush, head on. He attacks, but is unlucky. Koup Diags. an Ogre, who is on the Secret Door, miss!
Ogre attacks Zarman, 5 Shields! 2nd Ogre attacks him, good defence. Zarman plays Ball of Flame, one hit. Roland, with Spirit Blade kills the first of 6! Koup plays Rock Skin on Roland. Ogres attack, no damage. Roland plays Holy Lightning miracle on Ogre, 2 hits. Koup diags. an Ogre, but he defends well. Ogres attack, but only one hit. Good defending! Zarman kills his first! Ogres wade in again, no hits, Zarman kills his 2nd! Roland gets a hit, Ogres attack again, no luck. Zarman gets a hit, Koup gets a hit, dead Ogre!

Ogres attack, little damage, Zarman & Hercules attack, dead Ogre! Last Man (Ogre) Standing. Koup staffs him out, last Ogre falls. Those Heroes Win Out against Overwhelming Odds!
As I said, Baylor, Great Quest, both Puck & I enjoyed it.
