Sir Ragnar Quest
This is my first attempt using the HQ Quest Book, and my Solo AHQ ideas.
I decided that the Normal Rooms are a bit bare & empty, so made up a little Matrix for their contents. Lets face it, most rooms in HQ one enters, have Something in them.
1-3 Nothing
4-7 one Wandering Monster
8-9 Two WM
10-11 Three WM
12, one WM one Treasure Chest. There is a TC matrix in the AHQ rule book, if you need one.
I decided before the off, to put Sir Ragnar in a Quest room, in a cell, under a trap-door.
The Heroes set off, & rolled up six rooms before Brian the Dwarf & Wallace the Wookey found the Quest Room. The QR matrix rolled up 4 Orcs, one spear carrying Goblin and the Special Quest Room Monsters matrix came up with a Cave Troll.

We rolled for suprise, the Heroes won, & placed the Monsters at the far end of the room, so only the Goblin was able to reach the door on the GM turn. Nugent the Necrophile & Harriet the Howling Hag Witch were some distance away, searching for the QR. They turned, & hurried towards the battle. Harriet cast the Genie on the Troll, 3 Skulls! He rolled five in defence, lost two of his four Body. After a fierce battle, with the Orcs & Goblin, Harriet on her next turn, cast Swift Wind on Nugent, and he finally reached the Troll, attacks with Spirit Blade, complete miss! Harriet casts Fires of Wrath on the Troll, one more body gone. Brian delivers the Coup Mortal. So the Troll is down without attacking. Good thing the Heroes won the Roll for Surprise.

Nugent heaves open the trap door, and pulls out Sir Ragnar. The Troops head for the Stairs out, discovered earlier. Despite three more gallant rolls on the GM turn, no problem until poor Brian, last one in the dungeon suffers from a trap roll, but he does the Boston Two-step, evades the trap, and is out.
I decided before starting the Quest, that if they managed to get him out, Sir Ragnar would become a Bag Of Bones, one of the Great Undead. Harriet made a Magic Pass, and brought him back, as a Friendly Skeleton, so now he will serve as a faithful servant to Nugent, who rescued him.

Puck was here yesterday, we started off with a Quest using the new Sewers board I found at The Lost and The Damned Forum. There is an HQ quest to go with the board, and we played it out, using a few extras I threw in. Basically, Mr Groat, the Emperors Tax Collector has been dragged into the Sewers by a band of Skaven. The Emperor sends in the Heroes to rescue Mr Groat, and kill as many of the mutant rats as they can, with a substantial reward for each pair of rats ears brought back. The Heroes set out, having to cross an open sewer by leaping, using Pit Trap rules. Two fell in the shxxx, two made it safely. They found a Store Room with some planks, really useful for bridging those sewers! Once across the main ditch, they found a small room with a treasure chest, a larger one with a Skaven Warlock, who they chose to leave to his own devices. They found Mr Groats Cell, but of course, didn’t have the key to open the door. They soon worked out, that the key was in the Warlocks Lair, so had to go back, knock him off, find the key, and back to the Cell. After killing off the Jailor, they planked across to the next passage, finding a room with a Rat Ogre, guarding a Treasure Chest, Once he was Safely Put Away, they found a Secret Door leading to the Stairs Out.

The picture shows the overall board, with the start of the Quest.
After lunching on Sausages and Succatash, we played one of Pucks Knights of the Oblong Table quests. Our Heroes were visiting a Museum, where they were captured by a gang of unscrupulous Museum Guides, and locked up! We find Sir Dylan & Merlin are in a cell, along with a Friendly Skel. he is along as an advisor & also wants to escape. They manage to escape, releasing their friends along the way. I feel young Puck is getting in on Specialist Monsters in too big a way, and not including enough of the basic types in his quests. The quests are not long enough, young man!

Picture Two shows Grogan the Money Snatcher, in his counting house, our intrepid knights soon laid him low, & swiped his ill-gotten gains. This was more or less the end of the Quest,we found the last encarcerated heroes in the next room, and were soon out.

Puck came this morning, and we played a couple of Quests. First was another in his saga of The Knights of the Oblong Table. A tough, hard fought battle, the Knights finally won through, killing Garron, a notorious Moneygrubber, and emptying his treasure chests

Sir Hixer, this time guards the rear. Merlin makes a Magic Pass, & hits Garron, on his Throne, with the Genie, but a poor attack roll.

Garron finally succumbs to Sir Diggerys' Halberd

I see you actually built a HQ board with your own tiles! Looks cool Ken!

Oh and here's a link for the Olde Inn forum people to the "Into the Sewers" quest pack I made with the help of Ken and Mortis, including the map, so you can all play it :)
part 1
part 2

I packed it with winrar in 2 pieces. Enjoy!
