It's a test sheet. I'm printing them this weekend on a full sticker sheet. We'll see how it goes.

seems like covering them with a clear-coat spray might be a good idea, just to keep them together.

I guess there isn't much else of a choice on obtaining dice...

The dice I used were slightly bigger than I wanted, but as cheap as they were, it was negligible.

Last night's Quest: Melar's Maze (Quest 5)...

Even though the Heroes blazed through previous three quests, I elected to not use my alternate version. I think the Heroes would have surely perished had they attempted it. After all, there was the scent of death in the air...

Image
Our Four Heroes enter Melar's Maze... What will they find?

Image
Here, they split up. During the Trial (Quest 1), they split up and nearly got decimated by the pair of Chaos Warriors. Up until now, they used a pack methodology. How will the Heroes fare?

Image
Barbara the Barbarian and Oankh the Wizard found Melar's key, and encountered the Orc trio. They dispatched of them quickly, thinking they could join up with the other Heroes through the door. Alas, the hinges wouldn't move.

Image
The Barbarian and Wizard press on, still looking for the Talisman of Lore.

Image
"Why are there two doors on this room?"

They easily manuvered around the pit trap, as I do have a rule that allows you to search the first space inside a room. But still, no Talisman.

Image
In the other part of Melar's Maze, Steel he Dwarf and Carrie the Elf encountered a couple of traps I added in a nearby corridor, and slowly moved their way to the center room.

Image
And then they unlocked Melar's library, and the hordes of undead which lay inside. Stalwart Steel thrashed the skeleton before taking up a more strategic positioning with Carrie around the bend.

Image
When Barbara and Oankh opened the door with the Gargoyle statue, they freaked out. Oankh immediately targeted the statue with a Tempest spell as Barbara moved across the floor. He opened the door, revealing the undead.

Image
See? Undead! But it's at that point, he heard something creak behind him.... Barbara turned, as the Gargoyle had come to life! Oankh struck out with a Genie spell (for two hits), but the Gargoyle was focused on it's nearest prey, slashing Barbara, dropping him to his knee. Foolish Hero for opening the door... The undead advanced and Barbara the Barbarian was clawed by a skeleton.... which ended his life.

Image
Oankh, seeing the Barbarian fall, high-tailed it out of there, trying to meet up with the other half of their party, with the Gargoyle and two skeletons in hot persuit... or as hot as they could be with their limited movement.

Image
Here, we see the Gargoyle and his minions, carrying their trophy as they persue Young Oankh.

Epilogue:

Since the pictures stopped happening (due to just being into the game), Oankh ran down the hallway to the room with the cupboard, then turned back, utilizing the distance she'd gotten on the horrors behind her. She struck down the Gargoyle with a fire spell, then a skeleton in the same manner. As she raised her staff to smash the final foe, war cries bellowed throughout the hallways.

Those war cries were from Steel and Carrie as they took up a strategic spot, allowing the undead from Melar's labratory to wander down the hallway and be blindsided by the Elf as they tried to strike the Dwarf. They sliced down their foes then ventured back in to dispatch the mummy, and retrieve the Talisman of Lore.

I had a couple of small tricks up my sleeve, depending on how things were going to shake out with this quest. Had they gotten through this quest easily, there was a Orc war party (sent by Grak) going to be coming through, attempting to capture them. I didn't do it, but I think I should have. It would have improved the story I think.

Oh well. But, guess what?

Another game on Saturday!

I like your idea of tying the Quests together. Having them captured would also mean they couldn't shop between this and the next Quest.

Noticed you have all the traps that were found marked by Skulls. Do you place them there, or do your Heroes? I just point to them when the Heroes find them. Leaving it to them to remember where they are. If they don't remember, they can always search again (I allow infinite searches for Traps and Secret Doors).
