The big thing now is people demanding to know where all the US Pre-Order websites are. The answer is "we don't know yet."

And we do know that Avalon Hill will have a booth at GenCon this year in August, and I would be shocked if they weren't showing off Rise of the Dread Moon (and possibly Prophecy of Telor as well) there. Will we get any reveals prior to the convention... maybe some more online swag? Guess we'll all have to wait and see!

Silly me, when I posted this I wasn't thinking of the fact that the official release date was already announced as JULY 15th. So we'll already have the boxes in hand almost a month BEFORE GenCon (Aug 3-6).*

I wouldn't be surprised if they teased us with some more info on Prophecy of Telor ahead of the convention as well. But they'll surely be showing off these new products there too.

* and if trends continue as they have, we may have fans that get deliveries up to a month before that, meaning we'll know everything even before that probably even if AH keeps it tight lipped till then.

Things are starting to move; Encarmine shared a picture of some minis (The Spectres, Knight and four deep purple elves that, if the blurb he posted with it is any indication, are Raven's Veil members).

Meanwhile, I spotted what I think is the first US Dread Moon listing on ToyFavorite.com.

Those Cadre look pretty cool. And, three of them could "Mirror" three of the Mercs with a Ranged (with a Hand Crossbow, could this be a new weapon type?), Halberd-like poleaxe, and a Shortsword, with the fourth wielding what looks to be double Hand Axes. All interesting possibilities to ponder. Also neat to get a new "Faction?" color for minis.

The specters being clear, sort of surprised me. I was probably assuming they'd be blue, but had not given it much thought... However, I kind of like that they're clear (I have a fair number of translucent blue minis from other games already).

Getting a little extra Fluff-lore on the current HQ setting is nice as well.

Overall, good to see a little more info on the upcoming new box set.

P.D.: Nice to see Encarmine indentifying Ladril as a 'fighter' and a 'mage' at the same time. According to the classic Advanced HeroQuest board game, the Elf character is a High Elf, from Warhammer universe. Of course the remake's lore is not based on anyone of the classics, but just for information.

I have never heard of this website. The pre-order "Sale" price is suspiciously low, and there aren't any reviews of the website I could find.

Please note, I combined these images... at first the text box was presented as being official from Facebook. I simply overlaid it on the Twitter photo that has been brightened up by inquisitive fans.


Sounds like the free digital quest will be a special bonus being played at GenCon to keep us interested (since the box will have been shipped out a month or more by the time sessions open at the convention).
