Just FYI: for the Italian version that was finally just released, we have double seals on all boxes, meaning they all got opened and resealed before release. We heard news of a component that was not as expected, but most likely they tried to fix a printing mistake. The Italian translation was probably based off the old version, as the new Warriors were still “Chaos Warriors”. The GM screen still has this mistake showing, while the cards and booklet now show “Dread Warrior”. So they probably noticed the error and changed the cards and booklets pushing back the release of the game.
Wish they didn’t noticed and we still had the old translation, though!

The expansions that haven't been remade yet (Wizards, Ogre Horde, Mage) all had cardboard furniture (Ogre throne, Mirror) or the cardboard walls of ice/fire/stone.

Since all furniture in the remake so far is plastic I wonder if they will continue this with the 3 remaining quest packs.
Also: the prospector was a tile in the original MotM. A plastic mini in the remake?

Also: the WoM pack had the 4 wizards and several henchmen. No new monsters.
Since the FH pack has no less than 12 henchman minis there's no real need for even more (exception for the folks who don't pick up the FH set).
Curious how they will handle this. A very small pack with 4 minis, book, cards, some tiles and 3D walls of fire/ice/stone?

I'm sure the trend of plastic furniture would continue. As for extra henchmen, why not? They were a different color, but originally in the EU there were two packs that included 12 red men-at-arms, Wizards of Morcar was one and Heroquest: Advanced Quest (aka Master Edition, NOT to be confused with Advanced HeroQuest) had another 12. Of course "the Dark Company" super adventure included in the HQ Advanced Quest edition intended them to be used as evil "Dark Warriors."

Now if they don't go with the interchangeable weapons again, that would mean any remakes of those sets would have 24 mercenaries since they would be going by the number of weapons I think!
Back in the day they did not assume you owned every expansion, only the Game System was the prerequisite for each one.

As for the tiles I'm sure those would continue as tiles. Interesting to speculate about of course.

Interesting. And too bad. But it was likely something they had to do re: Gamesworkshop in this case, vs. the misprints on some cards others were talking about.

I checked:
In WotM there's:
-the Mirror (large piece)
-Another (small) mirror
-a gate
-a door

FH had 2 doors, but more minis than MotM has. So yeah, it could be possible to do it in a same size pack.

Also curious if every pack will have new dice. Forest green (elves?) for MotM?

As for the henchmen in WoM: I'd hate it if they go for henchmen again. Yes, not everyone has all the packs but I bet that's only a small percentage.

I wonder if they will make werewolf minis for the MotM as well as the prospector and princess millandriel? Same with the magical barriers from WoM.

Zargon seems to be thinking in new furniture pieces, maybe elven or dwarven style... what would it mean?

"ZARGON" has posted a bunch of interesting tweets lately after almost no activity for awhile. Then again, I can't see it all because I'm not a member of Twitter and it hides a lot of stuff. It seems he agrees that Orc's Bane ought to work similar to the Polar Warbears.

To this last part, I agree, however the concept seems to be thus:

Multiple Attacks

1992 Edition: PW gets to attack two targets per turn or the same target twice. Target only gets to roll one defense. VAGUE

c.1992 draft notes (thanks LucaPaschi): PW attacks twice... victim gets to roll their single defensive roll AT THE END of the monster's attack(s), applying their full defense to the full attack (essentially it is like the PW is rolling 8 attack dice in a single attack). Treat monsters being attacked the same way (implying Orc's Bane, Heroic Brew, Battle Rage, Elven Speed would be applied retroactively). CLEAR.

2022 Remake Errata (via "Into the Northlands"): Clarification of 1992 rule. Hero gets to choose which of the two PW attacks he will roll his defense against, at least in terms of either rolling right away to defend against the first attack or waiting for the second one. IMPLICATION: one of the two attacks is unblockable. In actual practice, unless Zargon is pulling his punches, he will roll an attack against a hero and if the hero successfully defends he'll attack that same hero again, knowing this new attack could be 4 skulls (which the hero can do nothing about). No mention of heroic version.

The twitter comment seems to indicate that the above should apply to monsters, so the Hero will attack a monster, then Zargon has to decide whether he's going to use his one defensive roll against that attack or wait and see if a second attack happens that he'd rather roll his defense against (but in that case, as above, the first attack would be unblockable... which in the case of many monsters, would mean the monster was simply killed, so he'd want to immediately roll!).

The suggested "clarified" rule via twitter certainly would help the Heroes out more, because it will be a lot more common. Orc's Bane is found in the original game system, and Heroic Brew is present in the Treasure deck so theoretically could be found once every quest. The other potions are a bit expensive and only introduced in the later packs, but the rule is that you can buy Alchemist Shop potions from any Expansions you own (the expansion doesn't assume you own any others but make this explicit in the quest book notes).

I see Frozen Horror is limited to 3 per customer (anti-scalping measure, but it's a retail product).

Thanks for posting this or I wouldn't have noticed these!

Can a mirror be considered furniture?

I surely hope so...

And to carry the notion further, it'd be amazing if there's mention of the would-be Dwarf Quest Pack during the Gen Con announcement.
