I originally wasn't aiming to buy this, really, as I'm more then content with the original and all the expansions. The rehash of the game is rather offputting as I care nothing for the new characters, which seemed like they were designed by people who have never played the original game. I personally didn't care for Rogar's Hall either. But I figured I have the money for it, so I just bought a copy of the Mythic Tier primarily because I have faith in Stephen Baker and his new quest pack.

This website will still be valid even if this rehash gets terrible reviews and I feel Baker's new quest book will some day be converted back into the old format, which I think most of us are happy with.

So I probably will end up selling it on the European market afterwards. Or if I end up keeping it just to have or end up playing it I doubt I'd allow the Bard, Warlock or Druid to be used. These characters completely throw the mood off the more I think of it. But primarily it's Baker's new quest and whatever other changes there might be is the reason I'm buying it.

We’re trended at ~25.8K/Day globally over the past 9 days (since the 23rd.) This is down by ~1K since yesterday.
We’re continuing the to trend at ~32K/Day globally over the past 5 days (since the 27th.)
There are ~13 Days left in the campaign.

The alt sculpt Hammer Orcs are only ~$20.5k away from the unlock.that should be reached within the next day and a half at current trends.

Overall the numbers are flat to slightly down over the past 5 days.

If the 5 day trend continues at ~$32K, that will add approximately $416K to be just $5K shy of the 3M stretch goal.
If the typical tends more towards the current 9 day trend running at 25.8K, we’re looking to add only an additional $335k to pass the 2.8M goal, hitting ~2.9M.

A $17K/Day average like today’s NA sales for the next 13 days will unlock the Alt-sculpt female mummies. At this point they’re looking like a solid potential.

To unlock the Bard and additional quest book at 3M, the crowdfunding will need to be hitting ~$32K/day. (Unless there is a substantial uptick at the end. Which as @Orc26 and others have mentioned is fairly typical. Though in no way guaranteed.)

The way things are going, I'd buy:

1) the Board (the again, this may just finally motivate me to make my own version of the board with slightly larger squares, and probably a quad fold for easier storage).
2) The 2 new Quest Books (for curiosity's sake)
3) the female Mummy... I want my Mummy! (Are you my Mummy?) :bites-lip: :o '

She looks way cooler than the male version, which looks like he should be shilling sugary breakfast cereal.

Nothing else screams at me "must have." But I'm grateful for others who get the set, just to have more players/fans out there.

I'm sure loyal members of the Inn will be posting up their own reviews, screen caps, etc. I'm curious what small alternations are made to the rules. And if any of them are good, I might consider incorporating them into my campaigns. But I'm saying right now, I have nothing against singing Orcs (ho ho, my lad, ho ho, my lad...) Zargon is the guy on the screen, and no mold spore monsters...

Hey Hasbro, show us the Equipment cards.. not just one, I mean what are the list of weapons and armor... are we getting the EU exclusives or not? Cloak of Protection, Bracers, Handaxe, Spear? Longsword and Dagger were never on equipment cards before, so we'll be getting those right? I could ask the same question about the Treasure deck, are we getting Holy Water and the spiked pit and treasure horde? Or are we getting nothing? (see what I did there?) Artifact wise the only question is if we're getting the Wand of Recall...

I agree, if I bought this it would mostly be for the Stephen Baker quest pack, but I’m not sure that’s enough to justify it.
Of the other components, I’d make good use of the board (an improvement on the original), the doors (also an improvement), the furniture (which I think is excellent) and the dice (the old wooden dice are nice but they do fade, so maybe the new dice are an improvement too).

Everything else seems to be a retrograde step, I.e. the artwork and the minis. I think I could convert *some* of the new figures to make them suitable, so I could end up using those too. They would make nice gifts for the Christmas exchange. The stretch goal figures would go straight to Ebay though. Converting them would be too much trouble.

So taken as a whole it’s probably not worth buying for me. If I saw it on a shop shelf I would probably succumb, but right now the shipping would kill me on a product for which I’d only use half the components.

THIS!!! Totally agree.
I just add... it may become a really rare version in th efuture if they will not continue to develop stuff and supporting the project may be a way to get the unreleased questpack revelead one day (I want to believe, but I've read they destroyed all the content for them).

Oftkilted wrote:The nice thing about international shipping via eBay is that there’s pretty solid tracking for international, and they manage customs etc. it’s not inexpensive, but for anything of value I’d use it again as a buyer.
They send emails on customs status, where it is on international tracking, Etc.

Using their global shipping program is the best way to DISCOURAGE people to buy it.
That program is just a MONEY EATER, it charges about 100 usd more to the final buyer and doubles the shipping costs (as you ship to ebay and then ebay ship to the buyer).
I strongly recommend to NEVER use it and manage the shipping by yourself.

Agreed, I've shipped overseas before and seeing the price jump up so much made me feel like it wasn't worth it.
