Depending upon which feminist you talk to, scantily clad women are either oppressed or empowered. What's a person to do?

When in doubt, I say stick to the precedents and aesthetic set by the original game's run 1989-1994.

[...] I'm just saying if you're going to start doing it, finish it, give us female Gargoyles and Skeletons, etc. too please!).

Your insensitivity about the skeletons is horrendous.
You were unable to identify the female skeletons? You call tell them by the noise they make when moving. (They don’t really look different...) 8-) Ahh ... the Gargoyles Animated series ... I remember that ... but an animated stone golem... how can you be sure that the model isn’t female with lots of muscles? Has anyone ever seen a female gargoyle?
Having a broad spectrum of models to work with on the table is what makes playing a game great. (There are also female goblins and orcs in the new edition.)

Oh wow, Rogar's Hall looks even more difficult then the Trial. I haven't playtested it yet, but I'll be doing that when I get home. I'll start a new thread under the quest's name, see how that goes.
I'll be using new heroes with starting weapons and no armor. Screw the Bard, Druid and Warlock, going in with original heroes.

Don't be surprised when it takes all the free healing to get out of the first room...

Are we sure that when they were creating this that they weren’t doing this with the European versions of the monsters that all pretty much have 1hp?

They said somewhere they were using US rules... At least I thought they did. Even with UK rules there is a lot of "not fair" in this map.

I'm ok with it as it is supposed to kick you in the face... Bit kicking new players in the face is a good way to get them to not come back. (I've actually changed my mind on the map and think it has potential... Probably a little too hard right now though.)

Interesting stuff (SPOILERS!!!):

This is certainly much more advanced than the (included with the Premiere Edition) "testing arena" Quest wherein the Heroes battle a few re-spawning waves of Goblins and more complex than "the Maze" (first quest in the Premiere Edition). Ah... Rogar (nice callback to the original Instruction Manual's backstory prologue). As a first Quest it would be pretty challenging. Would it really be more challenging than "The Trial" ? I count at least 54 monster body points (wandering monster is only a Goblin, but these Goblins seem about as strong as Orcs with their poison blades). The difference would be that even if everyone dies I assume it "doesn't really count" since it's a "training quest."

Mentor gets the ability to heal after death using the healing potions. Assuming an identical Treasure deck to the NA version, that's 3 (?) 1 red die healings potentially.

Finally this is our first view of the new Quest book... I'm anxious to see the new Equipment List, personally.

PS: In my view this is not Mentor, it's Zargon. He sabotages your training in order to try to kill you before you even get going...

Good point...

Is someone working no an update alternate icon list for HeroScribe 3.0 based on this new Quest format? (SPOILERS) I still like the classic icons, but it would be cool to be able to create in the new style easily as well...

The new quest uses more minis than will be included with the main set (but the Mythic set has it covered... which as an unlock it would be included).

Edit: Thanks to Stephen Baker for posting the Quest!
