:fimir: :fimir: :fimir:

I have a large number of fimirs and have been thinking about converting some of them, to represent the other fimirs in the creed. I have read the WD article by the way. Any ideas for stats once I've completed them ?

Fianna Fimm
Fimir Noble
Fimir Dirach
Fimir Meargh

Its my understanding also that the Meargh should be purple?!

Interesting stuff! I typed Firmir Meargh into Google, one link goes to Mr. Saturdays Mumblings, lot of c---- about the breed, but a good laugh all the same. My Firmir, Gaylion the Firmir Mage comes to mind, you will need to have a Feminine Side to appreciate him. He has his own spells too.

I painted one of my Fimir purple simply because they have only one eye and they eat hereos....

If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Here are some ideas, but it kinda depends how you want to use them... Do you play vanilla HQ or do you have levels, new equipment, skills etc...

Fimm - Warriors (Standard HQ fimirs) - Move 6, Attack 3, Defend 3, Body 2, Mind 3

Fianna Fimm - Elite warriors - Move 8, Attack 5, Defend 5, Body 4, Mind 3 + After attacking, all adjacent heroes/mercenaries is hit by an extra undefendable tail-attack of 1 attack die.

(Are the nobles in reality fienna fimms?)

Diarch - Demon feinds (wizards and demon worshippers) - Move 6, Attack 3, Defend 3, Body 5, Mind 5 + Grants all types of fimirs in same room/corridor +1 Attack while alive
If you want they could summon demons instead. If not killed within 3 rounds after being discovered they summon x-demon.

Meargh - witch-hags (leaders and only females) - Move 6, Attack 3, Defend 6, Body 8, Mind 6 + 6 chaos spells

Fimirs use lots of slaves and kidnap human women for breeding (fraggle yeah!). This is obvious to use in fimir-centric quests.
A rescue mission like sir Ragnar. Free the kidnapped villagers.
Or you could meet slaves halfway through the quest - Anyone got a key?
Or maybe even make some loyal slaves who attack the heroes!
Oh! And you GOT to make a fimir slave-whipper!

Also you will find this thread very inspirational!

@ken- haha Gaylion. I suppose he's painted a pink. Got a picture? I came across a few sites from fimir fans. I was surprised by how much people love 'em. Can't say they're my favourite monster type, but once I have a fully painted little army with Meargh etc, this may change.
I got some fimir spells from this ace site, are they your work?

@Goblin-King- wow thanks, always a fountain of thought provoking suggestions. My game isnt pure vanilla. I have a few extra heros/monsters, a few extra weapons and a couple of other minor gameplay changes. I've been toying with skills and specialisation for the heros.
I think your stats for the fimir creed are pretty spot on. (I have a tendency to 'over beef' my new monsters).
Love the tail attack suggestion. Got me thinking, maybe the Fianna Fimm can choose to use its whole attack by swinging its tail in a sorta flail attack, striking everything 360 degrees, 1 or maybe 2 spaces away.
I'm imaging a Dirach, surrounded by fimir body guard, chanting in the corner for 2 or 3 turns and then summoning deamon fimir :D

I want to have a fimir which is the equivalent of a snotling. But I have no idea where to start?

I'm thinking fimirs are going play the role of slavers in my old world. Thou of course fimirs ejected from the hive will work for orcs and chaos. My minds racing at the obvious quest ideas. Finally I have I use of my sole GorkaMorka figure, one orc slayer. More converting :D

Have a look at my Saturday Day Dungeon. Nice piccy of Gaylion relaxing over a Martini, (even tho' I say it myself). The spells are actually from this site, not my work, I hasten to say. Still a bit doubtful about Purple Firmirs. More searching & speculation in hand, so to speak.

Be careful with this. We have a House Rule Chez Moi, if such an attack is a complete failure, ie, all shields, every Being has to duck, and roll one combat dice. First black shield loses a BP.

Further research shows, :" Purple People Eater" tells how a strange creature (described as a "one-eyed, one-horned, flying, purple people eater") descends to Earth because it wants to be in a rock 'n' roll band. The premise of the song came from a joke told by the child of a friend of Wooley's; Wooley finished composing it within an hour.
The creature isn't necessarily purple but rather it eats purple people, as shown in the following excerpt:
"I said Mr Purple People Eater, what's your line?
He said eating purple people, and it sure is fine
But that's not the reason that I came to land
I wanna get a job in a rock 'n roll band"

The ambiguity of the song was present when it was originally played on the radio. In responses to requests from radio DJs, listeners drew pictures that show a "people eater" colored purple. (A Firmir)??

Now this will only make sense to people of "A certain age" You have to ask yourself, are you one of us??

*sigh* (raises hand reluctantly)

I didn't even need to look up these lyrics:
"He was blowin it out
a really knocken em dead
playing rock n roll music
thru the horn in his head"

At least at the end of the song the purple people eater sez
"TEQUILLLA!"
"I will raise your dead body as an undead skeleton. Then I will make it do unspeakable acts. Like taking a shower." - El Flesh.
