If you are a multi billion dollar corp, getting your legal ducks in a row is literally step one. The fact that somehow the pre-order started and they had not already done so is much more of note than them finally getting around to it.

The way they've done it makes it seem like they weren't planning on releasing everywhere, but then they heard that there was demand for it everywhere else and then decided to pursue it.

Nothing new on Hasbro's side really with these Haslab projects. It was the same with Unicron where it started as a US and Canada thing only through Pulse then later went overseas through other storefronts. They need to get things straightened out before to prevent this sort of backlash again.

I’m not surprised they didn’t have the third party groups involved, as this was a ‘surprise announcement’ and it’s hard to keep in surprises when you’re providing information to third parties.

It would be cool if Zavvi and the other official partners would be able to ship to other locations in Europe for the fans there.

If you don't have anything nice to say about Hasbro's role out of this campaign don't say anything at all... It's sort of the thing they should have done from the beginning. So yes, PRAISE HASBRO for doing what they should have done. I'm sure that will nearly double their sales, good on 'em. ;) |_P

Otherwise it would be like creating a new Godzilla movie and not releasing it in Japan... (yes, I know that has happened too)

Complaining is an international hobby. There will always be complaints, no matter how good a thing is or how much you give people what they want.

Great observation! This thread should be re-labeled "HeroQuest remake by Hasbro - Complaints, Regrets, and Wild Speculation Department" and relocate the actual information (like new Hasbro posts and the daily funding tally) to a new thread.

I'm tired of coming here seeing 4 new pages, sifting through for the latter and finding only the former (or worse).

And since I'm already adding a new post to the list, why not go on the record again to state that I'm REALLY happy about getting a reprint type remake (new art and new minis only). This takes the pressure off the 2nd hand eBay market and will introduce more players to the same game we play! And I'm really happy the numbers and adoption are going to go way up because 3rd parties are handling availability in other regions. |_P

Agreed. I’m tired of hearing the whining and complaining. I’m just glad new “official” stuff is coming out after all these years. Oh and with the same system being released globally, there is no more EU vs NA. Zargon vs Morcar. Walrus vs Bunny (Oh wait that will still be a thing).

Well, the topic has "The BIG discussion thread" in the name. I think that opinions would be covered by the word "discussion", not just news.

I'll admit, I have had a couple of complaints about the remake, but overall I'm really happy and excited for it. I think it's great that we should be getting a bunch of new people interested in the game. I'm especially excited because, having lost my own copy of the game years ago, this will give me an opportunity to introduce my kids to the game.
