I don't typically worry over much about FOMO, however making a cool dice pack available in such a limited manor is REALLY disappointing... I love dice, I've been clamoring for AH to make retail dice packs available... This just frustrates me, frankly. It also flies in the face of the stand they've taken about scalpers... Granted, scalpers cannot grab a "Bunch" of these sets to sell without also buying a "Bunch" of retail accessible expansions... But it still rankles.

That said, for anyone situated to be at GenCon and manages to get ahold of these, that's pretty great. At the very least I like that they exist in the world now.

Has anyone bought the clear colored dice from etsy? I saw them myself and they look great, but has anyone used them? How do they compare?

I'm curious about this as well. I've looked at them a couple of times, but have yet to grab any. From reviews on Etsy, they are apparently a lighter color than appear in the pictures. I admit I've been a bit dubious about getting "Pastel" colored HQ dice. But I'd dig hearing any first hand reports on them.

I got the red, green and yellow dice sets off Etsy. Used them a couple times with my group. I think it my review I also said they are lighter but I didn't mean pastels.

The red is a bit like fruit punch, the green like mountain dew and the yellow is like lemonade in color. But watered down versions of those things if you get my meaning.

Will post pics when I get home in a couple hours.

I bet they will give away some if they have a surplus. Or I'm sure some dude will be like give me three and I'll slip you 20 bucks or something lol

I'm hoping they will have them available at NYCC. I doubt it though.

Amen. I would happily buy a couple of HQ dice sets.

As promised, here are the dice I bought off Etsy. I realize now that they show up differently on camera than real life. You can barely tell the green ones are green here

Hope someone finds this useful :)

At the end, the Roge Heir letter and background was just a throw away with 0 real link to any of the elven lands expansions (MOTM and ROTDM). I like the character a its going to lead a secondary group into playing the adaptation of the japanese quests and then join the main group after the barbarian returns north. The heroes are inle 3 players but they play with 4 heroes.

I am really surprised there were no additional new equipment cards for weapons and armor in this expansion. Things such as a Greatsword, Elven Longbow, Halberd, and maybe even Leather Armor (body armor that does not provide additional defend dice, but allows you to reroll one defend die on certain occasions. Basically something that is better than wearing nothing, but not as good as the Bracers). It would be nice to find something else instead of the same old Battle Axe, Longsword, and Crossbows that seem to be the most common decent equipment finds.

At least they have the Alchemy deck which I really like. I am thinking putting the purchasable potions in one of those binder pages that have the nine card slots on them so people can easily see what potions are available to buy, and using a list with a d20 to decide what you get with random potion draws. The problem with this though, is if future expansions add new potions that are supposed to be added to the current potion deck. For now, that setup works though.

This has been one of my contemplation's; how they deal with expanding it in the future given that it would require people to already have this quest pack, I hope they do add to it though.
