Have been enjoying my box so far, my kids have completed 3 quests now and are learning the rudimentary skills of working together as a team, my wife even said it was fun! Thanks to the Mystic box we got a lot of quests to go.

By request from Kurgan, I finally had an opportunity to post what I was talking about when trying to put the new tiles on the old vintage boards.

As you can see, well..I guess it could kinda work, but it's a bit awkward.

Thank you, agreed, it can work if you put it more flush with the white wall itself, rather than the black gridlines.

Yeah. Still, I kinda don't like it, personally, but hey; it's not 100% incompatible if you don't mind a bit of bigness in your game, I suppose.

Is there an online store (preferably in Europe, but US is also fine) that has it in stock now?

In stock? Where to buy the remake??

Postby Kurgan » December 10th, 2021, 1:07 pm

Zavvi is taking pre-orders for Feb 15, 2022 for the game system.

Avalon Hill's page has Where to Buy listed.

From the page I'm just clicking through each one today... if you have one of those stores in your area, give them a call. As we've seen, Gamestop has kind of annoyed a lot of us with their pre-orders exceeding supply.. :/

At this moment however...

Amazon has some but they are marked up (like $227-250+), from RE-sellers (not so crazy as the prices on ebay but still). Would you really pay that much for a game system rather than wait 1-2 months? Vintage set might be cheaper at a certain point!

Walmart.com is $120 (out of stock).

Big Bad Toy Store is listing it as "Pre-Order" but also "December" of this year (it's Dec 10th) for $126 (standard retail price).

Entertainment Earth (same as above).

Best Buy Pre-Order $126, for Jan 1st, 2022.

I don't know how Asmodee does things, but they list everything, but you may have to do a little hunting there for the UK stuff.

As for Return of the Witch Lord, Kellar's Keep, you'll have to check. For the Guardian Knight Hero expansion, good luck. Those seem to be out of stock everywhere. Yes, you can buy anything from a scalper, but I would suggest waiting. You won't "miss out" you'll just have to wait a month or two to get it a fraction of the price is my advice. :2cents:

Please note here we're talking about the GAME SYSTEM with no extras. The retail version doesn't have any of the Mythic stuff, no bonus heroes, etc. Just the big box.

:redheart: IF you want to get the GS plus the four "bonus heroes" (the gender swaps of the four) you should get it from Hasbro Pulse directly here. It says $126 and PRE-ORDER, giving the approximate availability date of Dec 15th (less than a week away as of this post).
If it were me trying to get a copy, this is what I would choose! If they screw it up I can complain directly to them.

:greyheart: So yeah after a HEALTHY disclaimer and huge grain of salt, GAMESTOP claims to have it available $126 and apparently it will deliver today. How much stock do they really have? Who knows. So maybe have a backup plan ready if they screw up again like with their Knights.

Edit: Adding Zing for Australia...

Thanks.
HasbroPulse doesn't ship outside the US/Canada.

I have one in pre-order at Amazon UK (est, mid-january) but I was wondering if I could get one faster.
KK and ROTWK are in pre-order at Amazon US.

With the knowledge I have now I kinda regret not joining the Kickstarter.....I always want to see some in-hand pix & vids.
In most cases afterwards I was glad I didn't join the KS, but not this time. Ah well.

Yeah it's always a gamble. I see you're Nederlander... and I wish you luck.

I'm sure I've said this before, I think it ought to be available in every country that had it back in the day. It's to bad that process is so slow.

Thnx.
I will get it eventually. Question is 2021 or 2022.

Back in the day I just walked into a store, picked up the base set + KK & RotWK and checked out.....and (one? or 2?) year(s) later saw Mages of Morcar in the store and bought that on the spot.
Different times.
