Side note - I think my biggest bummer with all of this excitement is having no one to play with. My kids are too young, and all of my friend who were into this moved away. Agh!

If you don't mind a slower pace, you could try playing with some of us online, via Zoom for example. Try the games in your area forum. I haven't played a virtual game in a few months but I wouldn't mind getting back into it!

Others favor discord, skype or other free video conferencing software. If you use an older version of windows you might have better luck than I did with Tabletop simulator (gaming app on steam, but it isn't free).

I got myself a notebook. Which will undoubtedly be the most versatile tool for HeroQuest yet; jotting down notes is the obvious one, but say I run out of character sheets to use, and I can't immediately get or photocopy more for whatever reason, I could also makeshift a few. It's not the ideal way to do character sheets, but if I happen to run out at a bad time and can't get more, it's something to work with.

yeah the old "four sheets on one piece of paper print/print/print" (or photocopy/photocopy/photocopy) is the way we always did it.

Granted, the size of the new ones means I could only fit three on a single sheet...and one of them has to be on its side.

Good point, if you wanted them to be exact replicas. Classic character sheets are the same, but smaller.

You got a good template for those? I still plan on keeping the template I have for the new ones, since I know people who would appreciate the bigger size, but it would still be nice to have a more resource-friendly option.

Maybe it's because I got limited tools, but I can't seem to get four of those to line up exactly the way I want them on a sheet...I've gotta keep trying, I suppose.
