I print pretty decent miniatures on my Ender3 printer, which uses FDM technology. If you want high quality stuff then you really need a resin printer, but I'm happy with my models since you can really only see the layers if you look closely. It takes a bit of calibrating and learning how best to arrange the models, it's not a simple plug and play device.

I have already downloaded and played a little bit with the app and I think it works fine for its purpose, good news.

There are some interesting topics I have noticed in the app:

- The simple additional art for events with same looking as cards is really appreciated. Now we can see for the first time how Wardoz, Fellmarg's Guard, Balur, Witch Lord's Tomb or the Star of the West look like according to an official source.

- The Warlock can only use the 3 spells from her own deck. She cannot use any other Elemental Spells. I thought the Warlock was more or less equivalent to the Wizard in the number of spells she could cast but she is not, according to the app and I think it is correct according to its Character Sheet that just says "Count as wizard hero in terms of which weapons, artifacts, and equipment they can use" (nothing told about spells).

- The stats of all major villains (Balur, Witch Lord, etc.) are unknown for the human players. I mean, the app does not show all the atribbutes of those characters like for common monsters, it only shows a few ones, the rest are considered secret. Of course when they roll dice for attacking or defending you can see how many dice they roll, but not before. This is a free decission for making the app since no dedicated rule is said in the rulebook related to this.

- In the app, Sir Ragnar cannot attack but he CAN search for traps and secret doors !!!

They let Sir Ragnar search? I guess that's helpful since he can't take on treasure (and won't get himself into more trouble that way).

Good reporting. I was going to use bluestacks to install the app on my computer but sadly it won't let me so can't see the new artwork.

For those unable to find the Knights, here are some analogs on Reaper here also here

The guy at GameStop told us we couldn't get the knights now, but he suggested I come back at a later date, so hopefully I can still get the knights yet.

I've been looking into ways to enhance my HeroQuest games with miniatures. One of my ideas is...basically very self-indulgent; having my OCs cosplay as the classic characters. I dunno of a good one that would make the characters the way I want them to, though; they are...very anime.

Well, I said this was self-indulgent. Otherwise, I've considered getting 3D printed Fimirs and letting the players choose their preference, though odds are, they likely won't be picky either way.

Lots of options, really.

Not that I've heard yet, and no word on when it might be arriving either.

My wife called hasbro/pulse today while I was at work and gave them my order number.
They told her fed ex is backed up and 1/2 the Canadian load was given to ups. They said we should expect it next week.

Now if I can lock down a copy of the new commander of the guardian knights I’d be set.

It appears to still be in stock here, for now: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/ ... ils/185383

I went through most of the checkout process and it does look like they'll ship to Canadian addresses.

I ordered the Knights from Big Bad Toy Store. Found out I already had an account there because I ordered some Gundam models from them back in 2008. I guess, don’t remember doing that at all.

Introduced HQ to my gaming group over the weekend. They had never played before (and I’ve only played a couple of times about 20 years ago). Despite me warning them to work together, they immediately split up and opened as many doors as possible. They finally killed Verag, but low on resources they decided to run out after opening up the undead area. Thinking they would have no problem running from the slow undead, they decided to search for treasure on the way out. The Wizard promptly rolled a 2 for movement and was nearly eaten. Good times!

Do you remember love...? (Nevermind, wrong franchise)

Fellmarg's tomb gets so little attention in The Trial, glad to hear your group had an exciting time!

Decided to play my brother's quest in the new board. He wrote it with the UK rules in mind, so it was interesting trying it unaltered with the US rules, but what we found; the part with the Chaos-errr Dread Warrior still works with the new rules. He must have had an extra treasure chest in his vintage copy and just assumed it was part of the game because we ended up having to do away with a treasure chest; he designed the quest to be beginner-friendly, so we just kept the more beneficial chest. But then we got to the boss of the area; the intent of the boss was to destroy skulls, but he replaced them with rats out of convenience. He found the furniture he put in to just get in the way, so he let me break a few rules just so I wouldn't be stuck, since the furniture in the boss room was kinda the antithesis of why he made the quest to begin with; a simple, beginner friendly adventure you could even solo.

We had fun, but he concluded he's probably gonna need to remake the quest with the newer systems in mind, and leave it a bit more vague whether it's skulls or rats. And do away with the furniture in the boss room completely.

Though if I manage to get the new knights, I may try it with one of them. I also learned I overall prefer the US character sheets over the UK ones, though I did notice my brother and sister used the UK ones for bosses; the UK ones may still be best for any bosses I wanna create. Like my weird cyberpunk lizard man that speaks in a way that even baffles Zargon.
