I dunno, I get that everyone will find something they won't like, but this is pretty awesome news. I am just happy to see it back in the limelight again. I think the best part is having the furniture be fully plastic so you can fully customize and paint it. I'm 100% onboard with this.

Except the use of Dredd instead of chaos. That is STUUUUUUUPID.

The new miniatures and art are unfortunately incompatible with what most of us already own, the style does nothing for me. I’d pass on all of it even if I lived in the US, but the new quest pack alone is massive cause for celebration. This shouldn’t be overlooked because even us fans living outside the US will be able to get hold of it, by hook or by crook.

Stephen Baker's questbook The Profecy of Telor is a stretch goal to 2 Million USD!
I am one of the guys who is very disappointed with the new miniatures style!
Artworks are ok but still not as good as the original ones.

3D Sculpts. I didn't notice anything about 3D printed?

The good, the bad and the really stupid...

The Good:
Stephen Baker quest book - you know you want this!
The board uses 1'' squares
Fully 3D furniture and doors
Variant sculpts for monsters
Male/female versions of the heroes
The cards look better than I dared expect
I'm pretty okay with the recreation concept of the cover artwork and GM-screen - If we can't have real artists, I think this was the right thing to do
Since we can't have fimirs, I'm very okay with the Abominations. I think they look cool, and I'm already imagining fun things you can do with them
Expansion remakes are a thing! This opens up for the rare and/or unreleased expansions being made.
New druid and warlock heroes? They are willing to expand the game beyond the original content. Get ready for new official heroes, monsters and spells.

The Bad:
Zargon?!?! Boooo! Hissss!
No alternative sculpts for zombies and abominations?
It seems they are re-using the original artwork for the dungeon board+overlay tiles. The style severely clashes with the rest of the modern artwork. Just remake it like the logo and the cover. And this is coming from a guy who think every dungeon tile since Warhammer Quest has been garbage.
I also get the feeling that this is going to be a VERY faithful adaptation. I fear they won't fix any of the little things. Like how mechanically stupid chests work and rolling dice for movement.
The female sculpts are way too similar to their male counterparts. The wizards and elves are almost indistinguishable. The original F-Barbarian and F-Elf were very different.

The REALLY Stupid:
Being a _ _ _ _ _ _ _ kickstarter.
Having exclusive miniatures.
Having exclusive miniatures of really important minis! I guess I didn't want Sir Ragnar and the Witch Lord anyway...
Being US only! Which makes the rest of this entire post irrelevant. Get rekt!

-------------

Overall I think this would be an awesome product, if it was just released in retail all over the world.
We would get a whole bunch of new quests, cards, heroes and monsters. People in here have been so hungry, that translating the Japanese version and converting Sorasil has been a thing.
I really think this has the potential to revive the game, but JEEEEEEZE they really botched the launch. They need to reveal their secret plans for worldwide launch asap if this is gonna fly.

This. Everything shown is still a mockup at best. At the quantities needed, they'd almost certainly need to make the figures out of plastic. Injection molds are quite expensive though, which probably factors into the $1M goal.

But they'd be able to easily produce them in red/green/white/blue/anything else they want.

Many valid points here, but overall I am very pleased with it as a product that keeps the same spirit of the original and can serve the same purpose. The stretch goal add-ons offer hints of new content and maybe some of the vagueness in the original rules that we've debated here for ages will be clarified.

My only real beef is that it's a crowdfunding campaign. I want it in game stores all over the world...and now! By Mentor, we need something to look forward to this year!

I agree, a Billion Dollar company shouldn’t need to crowd source, but I’m excited for the offering. This wasn’t going to make everyone happy but I’m hoping it’s a success, allows for a commercial worldwide release with remakes of all the expansions plus some new original expansions.

My Rant:
- A crowdfunding? really? Otherwise: Game good looking. Expensive. Goblins ugly. Same old game, (even same board map - that's good).
- What did they do? They worked on: new minis, new artwork on cards (and maybe a little story adapatation?).
- It's USA only - I swear i won't go buy it on ebay off some useless intermediate. I'ld rather just remake the game myself. It's super expensive for a bunch of minis in the age of 3d printing. All the rest is cardboard and paper.

conclusion: I'm perplex at the cost and shipping restrictions. I'm gonna hold off and see how fun it is making a "homebrew version" instead. The kids will probably like the activity of making it.

Even here in the states shipping is pretty heft at $30. I'm so very tempted to go in for the Mythic pledge, but am still on the fence.

$621,000 so far so good this game is climbing fast.Im sure it would be double that by now if they opened the market up to outside Canada and the us.
