See, now this is what I'm talking about! Now we're seeing some of those things outside the boxes to compare... progress, progress!

Zargon had gathered his generals. Over the stinking, squabbling prattle of his cruel minions, the spilled drinks and dropped coins, a sudden hush spread forth, not for fear of their dread master, but because of what was happening around them. From out of the shadows stepped his most powerful wielders of magic, his most brilliant and twisted alchemists, and of course, his most fearful warriors... THE DOOM GUARD. Their gleaming accursed weapons, their cold and dark armor, and their eyes dead of all human emotions except rage and cruelty blazing forth out of their metal visors.

"Heed well my words," roared the fanatic would-be emperor, mocking the vocal intonations of his betrayed master... "for I am Zargon, master of dread! You've followed me and bled for me and you fear what I can do, just like our enemies. But for far too long we have used fear alone to achieve our ends, the conquest of this world. Not only its submission, but also its humiliation, its enslavement and best of all for you, my disciples... its PLUNDER!"

A huge roar of delight went up from the assembled ruffians, assorted scum and assassins. The Doomguard, behind their terrible masks, remained silent, stalwart, as if waiting for the slightest of nods to wipe this sorry excuse for a party out of existence. Zargon smiled, one of the most wicked smiles he'd smiled in perhaps centuries.

"TONIGHT, I grant you a boon. A new revelation... one that will rend the hearts of our enemies so that we may drink their blood till we're drunk with it."

Again, the hush... the sickening crowd continued to pant in anticipation of their master's decree, or else their own destruction.

"Yes, we shall no longer be known as the Dread forces... instead, we shall begin a new reign upon the earth... a reign of CHAOS!!!!"

The tumult was instant and vicious, as minions tore their garments, passed out, or slashed at the air with their weapons. Others hurled goblets, coins and assorted trifles into the air. Chairs were overturned and candles knocked askew. Plates were smashed, smaller monsters were pile driven through nearby tables. Drops of blood, sweat and spittle flew freely across the utterly trashed banquet hall. The Doom Guard finally, perhaps mercifully, if they were capable of such a sentiment, stepped in to stop the poor saps from utterly ruining themselves in their revelry. The revelers were drained, wild eyed, gasping for breath if they were still concious, most had to be carried out, while a few had to be given a few choice blows to subdue them. Meanwhile their master's eyes glowed brightly, surging with power, and a palpable electricity caused his hair to flutter about. His wizards and commanders bowed their heads in homage.

A dark shadow surrounded Zargon as he backed away slowly towards his throne of pure jet, where he sat down to contemplate his next move. "Let Mentor fret about that now," was his black thought.

I think I have seen in the video (minutes:seconds 26:20) that those squares will be hidden by furniture once the tile is on the board so you will not see there the "made in..." text, but maybe I am wrong.

That works if you only use that tile for the quests provided by Joe.

If you make your own quest and dont stick a cupboard in that corner as it appears to be for, then you see that during the game EVERY TIME.

In that case they should have had more care of course.

Such a cool new addition: character gender options!

Yeah, new, because they didn't exist in 1990, 31 years ago. Keep pushing agendas and false narratives.

More close up high res pics in the tweet thread.
It also seems damaged product is being shipped.

Hey, we setup the unboxing project so fans could make a more informed decision, all this info is helping that goal.

It is a shame that nobody remembers the female Barbarian and female Elf from 1992. WE remember. :redheart: :barbarian: :elf: :redheart:

At least it wasn't a developer!

That is why i am putting links so you can compile images in OBS for your video. ;)

Also for anyone wanting to return or sell there, think about the minis can easily sell for $2 each, and there are 130+ minis including furniture. and the furniture cold probably sale for more even unpainted compared to say WhizKids....

No sense in selling the whole game unless it is to someone that plans to play, jsut sell em the minis if someone doesnt want to keep it after the unboxings and refund time period.

I'll never turn to the dark side... ! (wrong franchise)

If you're going to send it to a good home other than your own, I say think of your fellow Inn members first.

Well i mean if the unboxings turn people off, better to get it and sell to SOMEONE, than refund it form HASBRO. you can make the money back either way, but if you had the money a year ago, then you probably shouldn't be hurting for it now, so can take the time to sell off spare pieces to whoever might want thema nd get more than jsut the total value of the game.

what is that saying? The sum of the parts is greater than the sum of the whole?

Well one of the two mythic tiers I ordered arrived today even though the tracking showed both were to be delivered today...also the USPS delivered the one even though the tracking clearly says FedEx. Port of entry, Chino, California straight to my western U.S. state in one day. The other although status marked out for delivery at 8:00AM never arrived and the FedEx tracking still shows out for delivery despite it being past 10:00PM currently.

I was stunned how much smaller it is than the original board box. It isn't much bigger than the original Elf Quest, Barbarian, Wizards of Morcar, or Ogre Horde Quest Packs. My game lid cover was dented and wrinkled in the corner but the pristine outer box it was in and the shipping box outside of that means they shipped it that way on purpose. Careless. Also they use four round clear stickers at the compass directions on the game box lid itself which is pointless and stupid as you cannot remove them without ripping the image on the game box so are forced to cut it and leave it to access the game which is profoundly irritating. The lid is so airtight I had difficultly sliding the game out of the lid even after the stickers were cut so they serve no purpose whatsoever for a shipped game, although I can certainly see why you would need them on a store shelf to seal it.

I have not read in depth anything and only have had a cursory inspection so far of the parts. I always knew I would be loyal to the original, as I dramatically prefer the original art, Warhammer world, hard figures, original figure design, etc.
The furniture seems to be the only obvious upgrade so far.
I have not read it yet. I plan on doing a page by page comparison of every minute detail to see exactly how it differs from the original, but I maintain and have from the start that this is a different game and needs to be discussed as such under it's own room here at the Inn, before we get so confused that we don't know who is talking about original and who is discussing the remake or reboot (because it certainly isn't a straight reprint or rerelease; obviously it cannot be minus the GW content.)

I am a bit of a completist so naturally had to have it anyway, but the new content quests sealed the deal and compelled me to get two. I am excited the read the new quests and hopefully I can live with the cringe worthy orc bard and other poor decisions.
